Global NCAP has tested the Maruti Ignis for safety, awarding the hatchback a one-star rating for adult occupant protection and zero stars for child safety. The Ignis was tested under the revised testing regime and its body shell was rated ‘unstable’.
Earlier, units of the Maruti Ignis produced between August 3 and September 1, 2022 were recalled after an issue in the rear brake assembly surfaced, causing the part to break, leading to an unusual sound and even reduced braking force in the long term. The inspection and replacement of the part, if needed, will be free of cost and will be undertaken at Maruti’s authorised workshops.

Over the years this car has given me very good and satisfactory results and hence i have retained this car for my personal use, Though it is almost six years since i bought this car and i usually change my personal car in three years.A good family car and best for city driving.

I own ignis sigma 2022 model.It is feels lightweight while driving and gives me tank full to tank full mileage of around 16-18 kmph in hills when driven light footed and sensibly.Front seats are comfortable but rear seats are not because of stiff suspension.
