A slipper clutch uses the ramps which are built in the inner basket to drive apart from the clutch plates. Mainly, it prevents the rear wheel from locking up and allows the clutch to slip for a short time until the rear wheel speed matches the engine speed. This freewheel mechanism is best suited for performance oriented bikes as it diminishes the effects of engine braking while deceleration.

Genrally its milage varies of around 28.9 kmpl . Its Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is standard, providing excellent braking performance in various conditions. The 390 Duke has a sharp, aggressive design with a signature KTM headlight, trellis frame, and comes in multiple color options. But its price is very high.
