Its first generation iteration started the trend of affordable performance biking at the time, and is loved by enthusiasts even now. Interestingly Bajaj launched the 2024 Pulsar 150 with a bunch of modern bits and cool new graphics.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price : Bajaj offers the Pulsar 150 in two variants with both getting the same three colour options. The single-disc (SD) variant costs Rs 1,13,523. The more premium twin disc (TD) variant comes priced at Rs 1,17,459. All prices are ex-showroom Pune.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Design : The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has retained its iconic design over the years, characterized by its aggressive front end, muscular tank, sleek tail section, and a variety of appealing color options. This design exudes a sporty and energetic aura.
Features of Bajaj Pulsar 150 : The Bajaj Pulsar 150 boasts a semi-digital instrument cluster featuring a speedometer, odometer, tripmeters, fuel gauge, mileage indicator, distance-to-empty meter, and standard tell-tale lights. The bike also comes with backlit switchgear and includes single-channel ABS as a standard safety feature. While the headlight with two pilot lamps and blinkers uses halogen bulbs, the tail lamp is equipped with LED lighting. The 2024 update brings a new LCD instrument console to the Pulsar 150 with Bluetooth connectivity. It is the same one as the Pulsar N160. The TD variant also gets dual-channel ABS for added safety.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Engine : Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is a single-cylinder, 149.5cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This powerplant delivers 14PS of power and 13.25Nm of torque. Suspension duties are handled by a 37mm telescopic front fork in the twin-disc variant and a 31mm unit in the single-disc variant. Both variants feature twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Braking is managed by a 280mm front disc, 230mm rear unit in the twin-disc variant and a 260mm front disc and 130mm rear drum in the single-disc variant. While the single disc variant comes with single-channel ABS, the TD variant gets dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, with the single-disc variant featuring 80-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tires, while the twin-disc variant boasts wider 100-section front and 120-section rear tubeless rubbers. In terms of weight, the twin-disc variant weighs 150kg (kerb), while the single-disc variant is slightly lighter at 148kg (kerb). Additionally, it boasts a generous 15-litre fuel tank capacity and offers a ground clearance of 165mm.

Riding the Bajaj Pulsar 150 - A Mixed Bag
Two years down the line with the Bajaj Pulsar 150, I had my fair share of highs and lows with this mid range performer. The 149 cc engine is robust, delivering a power of 14 PS which makes overtaking on highways a breeze. The mileage figure stands decently at around 50 km/l ,which is decent given the fluctuating fuel prices.However, despite its performance perks, the gear shifting is a bit clunky which can be a turnoff. Another downside for me has been the braking system which lacks the initial bite, although the bike is equipped with ABS.

The engine and feeling of driving with this bike is really impressive and the comfort level of this bike is very good but the features is not good. The suspension is very good and is a very trusted bike from Bajaj and is a very great value for money bike with higly perfomer engine and the price is also good and is a great bike for me and the resale value of this bike is also very good.

Owning a Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been like going on a long, sometimes bumpy but mostly exhilarating journey. Since the day it became mine, the bike with its robust 150 cc engine making 14 PS of power which makes it my perfect companion through whole city roads. The power delivery is smooth and for city rides it feels just right. Plus its iconic design never fails to make a statement.The ride quality could be better. On rough roads, the suspension feels a bit on the stiffer side.
