Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Apache RTR 200 4V

Q. Which bike to choose, RTR 200 4V or Pulsar F250?
  • Both the bikes are good in their forte. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been one of the nicest 200cc motorcycles in India, and the 2021 iteration elevates its potential to another level. It is sharp and agile, while maintaining friendly power delivery. It gets features like adjustable front suspension and hand levers, which are unheard of on bikes in the same segment or even a step higher. However, the lack of a sixth gear limits its touring potential. On the other hand, the F250 comes across as the more complete package as its price, looks, ergonomics, and performance mark it out as the successor to the 220F. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read more -[2021 Bajaj Pulsar F250

Q. When will the TVS Apache RTR 200 4v comes with 6th gear?
  • As of now, there is no official update available from the brand's end. We would suggest you to wait for the official announcement.

Q. Which one is best in mileage ns 200 or apache 200 4v ???
  • If you want go for 200cc bike you should not look to mileage because if you take bike by looking mileage you will take apache200 4v but after that you will not get proper service even Apache 200 4v indicator bulb is not available on service centre from this you should think about the service of TVS
  • Depends if you tall above 6ft apache whether it might be good is a no go your knees will be crammed while below 5ft8in ns is no go you'll have to struggle as you have to balance on one leg otherwise apache is a soft rider while ns a bit harsh and while comfort is with apache performance is with ns. looks are personal perspective I like apache's looks but drive ns200 apache is better for city and touring can be done too ns is perfect for touring city rides are a bit harsh as it heats up more and isn't as agile as apache
  • I think apache 200 is easier to ride in the city whereas pulsar 200 is more powerful but the power is not usable in the city traffic as it takes time to build up. So, if you ride in moderate to heavy traffic conditions, rtr 200 is better, it also offers better handling and brakes.if you ride in light traffic conditions then pulsar is the better choice, although it does not handle all that well.

Q. Which bike is better Apache RTR 200 4V or Apache RTR 160 4V
  • Obviously RTR 200 4V is better bike among these two because of reasons given below1.Styling :- RTR 160 4V is Downscaled Version of RTR 200 so looks are subjective this statement is not applicable here And if you will look in pictures RTR 160 4V will look equally good but in real life the difference is apparent in RTR 200 it looks wider and musculer and has splitted seats and gold coloured front forks which stands it out from the commuter crowd.2.Performance :- here also RTR 160 4V can't even stand a chance and there is no argument that RTR 200 4V is sportier bike and it is faster by a big margin whether it is acceleration or top speed RTR 200 will always ho faster and will give you more adrenaline rush.3.Mileage :- mileage is slightly better on RTR 160 4V but it is not a big difference, only 5 kmpl will be lesser on RTR 200 4V in normal riding condition RTR 200 4V gives a mileage of 37-40 and RTR 160 4V gives a mileage of 42-45 but if you are a hardcore rider and if you will ride your bike mostly on highways and if you will ride your bike on speeds like 100 and 110 then RTR 200 4V will give you more mileage because as a 160 cc bike it will be the top end for RTR 160 4V and as my friend told and as i have saw it on youtube milage goes down to 32-35 kmpl and for RTR 200 that speeds are normal because it is 200 cc bike and it is easier for a 200 cc engine to maintain 100 kmph constant speed and it will give normal mileage under these conditions4.handling :- Here also RTR 200 4V's Handling is better than RTR 160 4V's handling because RTR 160 4V has Wide Handlebar and RTR 200 4V has Clip on handlebar and clip on handlebars are known for their sporty handling so if you like cornering so much than RTR 200 is the perfect bike as it also offers you super stickey and grippy Pirelli tyres which are absent on RTR 160 4V5.Comfort :- here both bikes are eqaully good and you might think that RTR 200 4V has clipon handlebars so it will more aggressive and less comfortable but it is not the case because it's handlebars are raised Clip-Ons and they doesn't affect comfort and RTR 160 4V's Wide handlebars are also similar to other bikes in it's segment so both of them give you same comfort.6.Refinement and Vibrations :- if you are thinking that RTR 200 4V and RTR 160 4V are similiar to RTR 160 and RTR 180 than it is not the case both bikes are so much refined and they have very less vibrations which are present only in top end and in top end also vibes are very negligible.7.Features :- RTR 160 4V is very feature rich bike but it can't stand a chance against it's father RTR 200 4v which has more features than RTR 160 4V like Gear position indicator and better looking instrument cluster because of white backlight and it comes with slipper clutch which and it is first bike to have Slipper Clutch in it's segment and it is very rare in higher segments also and it is a very useful feature it is far better than normal clutch and both bikes have ABS on board but the ome on RTR 200 4V is Dual channel ABS so It is Functional on both the tyres front and real while RTR 160 have single channel ABS and it is only operational only on front tyre so if you will press rear brake suddenly then rear wheel will end up in locking and slipping.8.Verdict :- if you are on tight budget than RTR 160 4V makes sence but if budget is not concern and you can spend about 20 thousands more you can end up buying a better bike. Thanks
  • It depends on your budget nd mileage...Both the bikes are best sellers in their segments you will get slightly better mileage in 160 Fi abs than rtr 200 fi nd you have to pay slightly lesser for 160cc...Rtr 200 has an edge over 160 in terms of ART-Slipper clutch...both the bikes are almost similar you can't get wrong with any of the two so choose according to your need nd mileage.
  • If you r looking for little more power, 200 is for you but i think 200 doesnt have Kick start & i have seen people dragging the bikes without kick start option .

Q. Which one is better Pulsar NS200 or Tvs apache rtr 2004v?
  • I have always been a fan of Pulsar Ns 200, but when it comes to Engine refinement and exhaust sound there is no comaprison to Apache rtr 200 4v. Now coming to Engine power, Ns has quite powerful output in terms of bhp which 23.7 in comparison to Apache mere 20.73 bhp. Also Ns has 0.3 Nm more torque than Apache. When it comes to long crusing over highways, Pulsar beats Apache at its peak with 6 gearbox as compared to Apache's 5 gearbox which helps Pulsar to attain top speed of around 145-150kmph. Both bikes have equal milegae output ie. Somewhere between 38-45kmpl (depends on how you drive)I just bought a New pulsar Ns 2019 Abs, clocked at around 178 kms and i guarantee you that i have never been more happier in my life.Only thing i miss in Pulsar 200Ns is Exhaust but seriously that is no big issue, you can install a much powerful exhaust (Akrapovic) which comes around 4000-6000 INR, and trust its the best exhaust avilable out there, put in some K&N air filters, use Motul Synthetic oil, install Hydraulic lever and you have got the Beast on two wheels. (These are the ideas from my Pulsar 200Ns, i assure you next time you see a Apache 200 rtr 4v on a highway, you are gonna pass it over like its a piece of cake on wheels😅 lol. Goodluck with your machine.
  • Lot of people were asking this question. So I do little digging about this V4 engine. Whatever I will be now mentioning is compared to NS200.Apache V4 engine is known for fast riding, Better pick up and maximum torque, There will be also less engine noise.NS200 has Triple Spark Engine, It's India developed technology, It usse the fuel in three cycle not in two comparing to other bikes. This is the reason you will easily get 40-42KM/L on highway and above 35 in city. For me NS wins
  • Both these bikes are best at their point NS 200 is more powerful , top end of the bike is awesome and liquid cooling is available, preferd towards tall riders Apache 200 is newly refined engine with sporty looks compared to ns 200 the looks of ns200 is outdated and is available in market since 6 years, Apache200 handling is better than ns 200 , exhaust note of Apache is amazing compared to ns200 cusioning of seats are better in Apache 200 , sporty DRLS, best for city riding, and about mileage,Apache also defeats ns200 in mileage company claims 44 kmpl for Apache and 35 kmpl for ns200 but rather it depends on riding bike I had achieved around 38-40 kmpl in city on my Apache Apache gets dual channel abs and slipper clutch

Tvs apache RTR 200 4V comes with 4 riding modes and each mode gives you a very different riding posture.Pickup of bike is best in its 200cc segment. It goes upto 141kmph top speed which I have tested on my own.Engine is so powerful that you can ride this bike anywhere whether you are taking corners or going offroading. It never fails you.

    Overall Good Experience

I bought the top model on 17th February 2022 as my first bike. Here are some pros I have observed in only this bike at such a price range. 1) adjustable levers (mildly useful). 2)slipper clutch (very very useful). 3)gear indicator (very useful). 4) rear view mirrors(best in the market). 5)dual channel abs. 6)urban mode saves petrol and results in excellent mileage. (i got 44.3litres with power petrol from a shell company (115rs per litre). 7)the torque feels amazing even in urban mode and the bike is 150kgs+70kg(my weight).8) side stand cutoff is also available from this year.9)gtt is very useful for beginners like me. 10)horn is very loud. I think it's even louder than some cars. Now here are some cons I have faced that I wasn't aware of before buying this vehicle. 1) overweight people can't sit as a pillion due to stepping up and splitting seats. 2)side stand length is small therefore bike leans at an even more acute angle than other bikes, Therefore the risk of the bike falling especially while parked in sand/grass or soft ground. 3) shifting to neutral is a hassle because of the gears being so smooth. Sometimes when you want 2ndgear while driving it will shift to neutral first and then you have to shift again. And while parking when you shift for neutral from 1st gear it will skip to 2nd xd). 4)biggest con I guess is the large turning radius, especially for a beginner. Tyres are also thin in accordance with the size of the bike(same tyres as of rtr160). 5)review Bluetooth functions-a)GPS display on the instrument cluster is useless because the GPS of TVs connect app is very bad. You can't connect google maps or any other GPS with your bike. B)call message text alert-very useful and applicable. C) lean angle is accurately measured and recorded in the app. D) routes and distances covered are also accurate. E)gear shifting patterns are very useful and accurate for beginners like me. I think everyone should at least consider this bike (especially beginners) when looking to buy a new bike. I researched bikes for 8months before getting my hand on this one. I had booked mt15 and rtr160special edition also but cancelled both of them when my mind got stuck on apache200.This bike is the queen of its segment. No debate. Of course, NS200 is a great bike but almost no one nowadays buys a motorcycle for its high torque and power and enjoying high speeds (125+). If you need to ride constantly long distances at speeds above 100+kmph then you should not consider apache200. I live in a crowded city with mild to high traffic and considering my lifestyle and surrounding environment my purchase was worth the wait of 8months.
