- After some 15k km you have to change the tyres, chain sprocket, brake flush, radiator flush, then some brocken seals of front shocks. All these together if it comes in a service which will cost you around 10k without tyres. Tyres will be another 10k for metzellers. So yearly minimum you can expect of 20k. It need to be serviced every 7500km and if ride less then ofcourse the service cost will come down.
- Average 4 monthly routine service costs 3.5k including engine oil and other replaceables like spark plug air filter, oil filter. Tyres must be maintained in good condition and must be replaced after every 10k but can be extended with some risk upto 12k kms or every 3 years but can be extended upto 4 years with a minor risk, among both whichever occurs earlier. Now some cheap options also available from Ceat and Mrf under 10k for both tyres and with more kms life. Battery will cost 4k every 3 years, Front fork oil seal replacement 1.2k,Chain sprocket 4kFront fork pipe 6k.Sometimes coolant pump seal gives away 2k.But it's all worth the amazing experience you gain with this rocket.
- This is a subjective question. Its completely going to depend on how you ride and where you ride. Now if you are usually using bad or broken roads your tyres will wear out. Stock metz m5 will cost you 15k. These tyres have a life of about 8k kms only. Other than that your front rims if you break will cost you about 6k rear rims around 5k. Basic service will cost you about 2k. Clutch cable around 187 rupees. If you ride about very nicely you might just incur the service cost that's all..but if you are riding nicely then why buy a d390. GO for a bike you want to ride under 60, avoid potholes, not jump on speed breakers..something like a bullet..no offense bro...
- Yes, & it's bidirectional, which means full clutch less, up-shift & downshift as well. & it's pretty impressive.but for using this feature, I would recommend to use it when your bike is 7000+ rpm. in lower RPM the engine jerks.
- Yes 2020 duke 390 Equipped with QS also the recent ECU Update from the Showroom now it smoother than before.
- Yes it has more than in BS4 to BS6 it cost around 5k more
- Woow i see soo many people saying no , dude first of all go to show room n check for urself , secondly their are many shorter riders riding a tall bike depends on wether or not u will ride it in traffic or on highway , their is a way to stand still on a tall bike , u need to put ur left leg on the gear and right leg on the ground , thats how most of the shorter riders ride a adv as many of them are even 850mm above seat height , but if ur committed to ride i think nothing can stop u . Good luckAnd a word of advice for those geniuses who are advicing for change of suspension , i just hope u dont skid or bounce of ur bikePlease do not change suspension settings untill n unless ur on race track or adv track
- If your a rider ull be fine... If its your first bike then prob not... im 5'7' and the duke was my first bike and it felt big and heavy when I first rode it, I was pretty scared I bought a bike that was maybe too big for me... a few months later the duke feels awesome. It is light and fits my height perfectly. I am ready for a larger bike. Perspective.
- The KTM Duke is a rather high seated bike and reaching the floor would be a full stretch. Besides it is a heavy bike and handling it requires a certain degree of physical strength. Try it personally and find out for yourself.
- My KTM 390 is 4200 kms ridden.Mileage is 33 KMS and above on highway.City is about 30 kms.I avoid the heavy traffic City area as riding Duke 390 is not fun at all in heavy traffic.it's made for open road.
- Maintenance is cheaper than other bikes comparing 7500 km as service interval. mileage will be as per your drive i am getting 32 kmpl in high octane . i drive near to less in city.
- Engine Displacement (CC) : 199.5 cc Power (PS@rpm) : 25.83 PS @ 10000 rpm No Of Gears : 6 Speed Fuel Type : Petrol ABS : Dual Channel Head Lamp : Halogen Wheels Type (Pressed Steel/ Alloy) : Alloy Tyre Type : Tubeless Standard Warranty (Years) : 2
- Wow, I know this post is a year old, but I’m sad to see so much discouragement. You will get an inch from the seat just in break in, plus another inch can be had with reshaping, making it narrower, or a custom seat. A good suspension shop can also lower the bike, without changing its engineering. My Duke 390 is my track bike and it’s terrific. I’m 5’2” 157 cm.
- Hi Vamsy, i am 5”6 inches tall. I myself tried multiple options to decrease seat height. Trust me, there is no way wherein you can reduce the seat height. Maximum you can shave the seat and lower the height by half a inch at max. I don’t prefer changing the suspension setup because Duke390 is a beast when it comes to pickup and speed. At that speed if by chance you hot a pothole, speedbreaker, or apply sudden brakes, inapropriate suspension setup will lead you to lose balance over the bike.
- Nope, you cannot. There is no such option to do that. You got to use it as it is because it is designed in such a way. Other options are you can get used to wearing boots, shoes with high heels etc. but reducing the seat height is not an option.
