Q. Is Yamaha R15 V3 suitable for long rides?
10.3K Views Follow Question Add Answer235 AnswersMahi | 3 years agoI myself ride R15 and I've been on so many long rides on it . I agree that R15 is a sporty bike and is not designed for long rides . The seating posture offered by R15 is more suitable for race tracks and city gliding rather than highway long rides . While on a long ride you'll feel more pressure on your palm and elbow due to the front inclined posture of the rider . If you are ok with the posture than the bike is all fine for a long ride....it won't give you any troubles on long rides and also offers a much better mileage than the other bikes in its category
Kiran | 4 years agoShort answer is no but it depends if you are riding in highways and taking rest or breaks in between you can do long rides or else it is extremely uncomfortable to ride due to its riding position and if you still wish to do long rides on it then try changing its handlebars to get a more upright position .you can change it from authorised service centres
MD | 3 years agoYes ofcourse it benificial to long rider bcs the arms r also long to hold the handle bar easily to capabilities improve when they ride and turns to short or long ride both and no nech or back pain to long rider bcs i also ve 6+ feet height i own this bike from march 2019 and no problem with at all so i love this go for it without thinking more
Pradeep | 3 years agoIts all about u... If you love this bike no one gonna change your mind.... I don't have V3.. But I ride my honda Dio 500Kms in one day.... It hurts my bum but... I love my bike and I did 200kms in a single stretch...If you love this and you gonna face everything just go and experience the thrill.... Remember its a sports bike not a Cruiser...
Soumik | 3 years agoDefinetely, yes. It depends in the riders whether they will be okay or not...moreover sports designed bikes are not for everyone. One needs to be physically well trained too & those who complain are the ones who just ride the bike for 2-3hrs. but don't do any physical workout themselves. Given the engine quality you can do 1000 km in a go...but the question is your body enough well trained to take that.Another point pro racers do 50 laps of a racetrack twice a day,(5-7km/lap) & workout 3-4hrs. per day.Its not the bike, its the rider which makes the DIFFERENCE!!!
Pondni | 2 years agoHello, I have v3 bs6 and I ride 647 km in one day and the average speed was 70-90 I maintained. It's totally depends on your patience and practice coz seating position is very aggressive , not problem on my back due to back turn 45 degree that is the relax position of seating for back only but lots of pain on my hand I ever feel after 500 km specially while my bike was on bad road, really it was really very painful feels of my hand otherwise all was ok no major issue found

You can't change handle bar.. because I try to change to straight handle bar..it's not possible to fix the handle bar because it hits the windshield.and you cant turn the bike in this position..if you want to fix the straight handle bar then you have to alter or remove the headlight section..

Absolutely right ! The more you ride, the more fun you will have !Enjoy Your Ride !
Sachin | 4 years ago@ Sabari | Depends on the posture you are riding. If you ride with legs tucked in and head guarded by windshield, you can ride for long. If you are putting your body weight on your hands and leave the wind blast to hit you, you cannot ride for long.
Almost the best answer 😎
