Yamaha has hiked the prices of its motorcycles. Click here to check out the latest prices.

Yamaha updated the FZ S 25 for 2022 with two new matte colour options in January 2022. Read all about it in our launch story.

Yamaha FZS 25 Engine

The FZS 25 is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor, putting out 20.8PS and 20.1Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission. There’s no slipper or slip-and-assist clutch. Meanwhile, suspension duties on the FZS 25 are handled by a telescopic fork and a seven-step adjustable monoshock. For braking, the bike gets disc brakes (282mm front and 220mm rear) with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Yamaha FZS 25 Variants

The Yamaha FZ 25 is priced at Rs 1,44,600 (ex-showroom Delhi)

Yamaha FZS 25 Features

The 2022 FZS 25 retains all of its features. These include a tinted visor, brushed knuckle guards, funky gold-painted wheels, and a multifunction LCD instrument cluster. Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging are absent on the bike, which is a bummer. For 2022, the bike is offered in two new colours: Matte Copper and Matte Black. For 2022, the bike is offered in two new colours: Matte Copper and Matte Black.

Yamaha FZS 25 Competitors

The Yamaha FZS 25 locks horns with the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the Bajaj Pulsar F250, and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. At a similar price, you can also opt for the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

  • It's a good bike with enormous

It's a good bike with enormous pickup as equal as its rivals duke 250, Gixxer 250 due to its light weight and 5 speed gear box makes the 1st gear stronger, It also has good curising speed upto 110kmph, And also yamaha provides good service this engine doesn't have any relation with his younger brother fzs v3, They both are different, Fz v3's is not derived from fz25

  • 4.2
    Space constraint

I own new fzs 25 matt blue.Bike initial pickup is superb. Not yet tried high speed as bike is new.Recently purchased so they have kept the tuning high.Driving is comfortable.Good even for long distance journey.Gives 40 to 45 kmpl in highways.Turning radius is bigger and little uncomfortable if there is space constraint.

  • 3.8
    Giving tough

Mileage should be problem.Long driving very good comfortable and very good pick-up.It should be giving tough for pulsar-180cc.

  • 2.2
    Service personnel

Mileage horrible, maintenance cost horrible, ride and comfort-good for the first few years. Say 3 years. Not to mention the poor service centres and mean service personnel.

  • 3.0
    Purchased yamaha

I purchased yamaha from my friend in january this year it has some major problems and payed some extra amount for that damages

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying FZS 25

Q. When the new update will come?
  • Yamaha started off 2022 by sprucing up the FZS Fi V3 with the addition of the Deluxe variant. And now, the Japanese giant has backed that up by updating the FZS 25. For 2022, the Yamaha FZS 25 gets two new colours, matte copper and matte black. Stay tuned for future updates. Read more:- Yamaha Jazzes Up The FZS 25 For 2022
Q. My height is 5.1 ft, can I ride this bike?
  • The suspension setup is tuned on the firmer side, so sharper bumps can be felt through the handlebar. That said, the suspension does a great job of soaking up minor undulations and potholes, even on broken roads. The short wheelbase of 1360mm, along with the light front-end, makes the bike nimble. The wide handlebar, with the slightly forward-set riding position, gives you better control when wading through traffic. The rider’s triangle is apt for everyday commute and some spirited riding too. Footpegs are slightly rear-set, but not so much to make you feel uncomfortable after long hours on the saddle. Reaching the handlebar may feel like a bit of a stretch for shorter riders. The 795mm seat height makes it easier for riders of smaller build to plant their feet firmly on the ground. The seat is flat, wide, and well-cushioned. You shouldn’t feel any soreness even after riding for long hours. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and riding comfort. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
Q. Which bike is the between FZS 25 or MT-15?
  • Both Yamaha MT-15 and FZS 25 are from different segments and cater to different audiences. The FZ 25 is amongst the comfiest motorcycles in the segment, offers oodles of torque, and will floor you with its commuting capabilities. However, as much as we love the refinement and quality of this bike, there’s no denying it lacks the eagerness of a quarter-litre motorcycle. On the other hand, the MT-15 is an exciting motorcycle to ride. The MT-15 is supposed to bridge the best of both worlds: the FZ’s convenience with the R15’s mad performance. Now, it might not feel as mad as the KTM 200 Duke but it definitely feels more polished, precise and refined, almost like a samurai. It makes every commute an event and that's exactly what you want from a streetfighter. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. Read More: - Yamaha FZS 25 vs Yamaha MT 15

Q. I am confused between Hornet 2.0 repsol and FZ S 25. I am not looking for any other bikes so don't suggest others. In Chennai, there is a difference of Rs28, 000 between them. My requirements are occasional commute and day to day tasks. I want good low end and nice mid range, top end doesn't matter along with minimum vibrations.
  • As per your requirements, we would suggest you to go with the Honda Hornet 2.0. With a frugal engine, agreeable ergos, light handling, and a comfortable ride, the Hornet makes for a great city bike. On the upside, when you cruise at an economical speed, the motor gingerly sips from the 12-litre fuel tank to return 55.11kmpl. It gets even better in the city, with a very respectable mileage figure of 57.35kmpl. The 184cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill on the Hornet 2.0 is the largest that Honda makes in India. It produces 17.27PS at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6,000rpm. Honda claims it has a healthy mid-range performance. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
  • Yes, I have been making a lot of analysis around Hornet 2.0 Repsol which is 1 .69 lac in bangalore on road( if you are going for just Hornet 2.0 2020 model remaining stock, you get it around 1.56 lac on road in bangalore) and it is a very good bike for low and mid range with around 45km mileage which means the perfect one for City riding and you get a max speed close to 130kmph for the highway cruising. 0-100, it beats every other bikes under 200cc. but the biggest concern is, if you google for hornet 2.0 issues, you get engine oil leakage as a major concern and stiffer suspension, is it really there???
Q. What's the difference between FZS-FI V3 & FZS 25?
  • Fzs is a 150 cc capacity, and FZS 250is a 249 cc capacity, both are 5th speed gear boxes
  • Model colour
Q. Is FZ 25 and FZS 25 BS6 model launched in south India?
  • When will they announce you think?
  • Yes, it is launched
