TVS conceived the Apache RTR 160 to compete with the popular Pulsar 150 from Bajaj. Understandably, the design language maintains a fine balance of sporty appeal and traditional looks, with the bikini fairing on the headlamp, tank extensions, engine cowl and a comfortable single piece seat. TVS claims that the tank cowl helps in reducing the engine heat by 10 degree celsius. The halogen headlamp features LED DRLs, and the tail light is LED as well. Instrumentation is a sporty combination of analogue tacho and a digital inset which displays the speedometer, dual trip meters, odometer, clock and a fuel gauge. It also gets a carbon-fibre finish that exudes sportiness.
