Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying SP 125
- Honda SP 125 comes equipped with a 5-speed gearbox with all the gears shifting upwards.
- No , sp125 having universal gear system 1 down & balance up.
- The recommended tyre size for Honda SP 125 is Front:-80/100-18 Rear:-80/100-18. Moreover, upsizing the tyre is a possibility but there will be some effects on vehicle performance. If you replace any part with a different spec, you will most probably have to change some other related parts as well. So, if you upsize your tire, there is a chance that it might start brushing the swingarm and that will result in faster wear and tear than the normal rate. In terms of performance, with a wider tire, the performance will also be on the decrease, which can be seen in the fuel economy and the top speed of the bike. Also, the increased contact of the tire with the surface results in increased efforts to handle the bike.
- It is recommended to ride your new bike at economical speeds before the first service as the fuel lines and the engine takes time to get accustomed. Moreover, we would suggest you to ride your bike between 45-55kmph.

- It’s quite apparent that Honda has tried to make the SP 125 a more youthful and sporty looking motorcycle than the CB Shine SP, taking design cues from its larger bikes like the CB Hornet 160R. A reshaped tank with longer extensions results in a more aggressive and mass-forward design. The LED headlight looks quite striking and will certainly stand out in your rear view mirror, and the tail-lamp looks sharper as well. Honda has also made use of vibrant graphic schemes to inject some flair into the design, and all these things have come together to form a fresh looking motorcycle. Faux carbon fibre trim has been used on some of the body panels to add to the sportiness quotient. That being said, the SP still retains an element of maturity and doesn’t look quite as sporty or youthful as something like the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon. The wheels have been redesigned but we wish they hadn’t, because the ones seen on the Shine were very attractive. - Hello
- Mileage and pickup. Issue will come. If you are driving in highways daily then just change the tyres. When bus and lorry or high speed car overtaking, whole vehicle shaking like bajaj platina and splendor It is highly recommended to change back tyres for highways driving
- You want better stability,Comfort and best looking 125 cc bikes, you put in 100/90-18 tyres
- I think it high.. you lose mileage 2 to 4 km per liter
- For long travel unicorn is best.Sp125Comfort is good Engine heating is highI observed oil leakage from seals after continuous driving up to 100km.5w30ma honda engine oil is not good. You need semi synthetic oil in same grade
- So how was the experience I.e comfort and engine heating I also have to travel 150km perday continuously with pillion .

- Absolutely yes. I drived my shine sp 125 from Pune to Nagpur (approx 750 km ) in 16 hours . Superb performance no issue at all..after every 150 km take 10-15 mint break for bike rest. Superb bike ..
- Yes you can, but after 75-100 km you need to give your motorcycle 15-20 min of rest. How much engine will heat up after how many km that depends on your riding style.
- Due to engine heating, not recommended for continuous driving. You must idle the engine according to the engine heat.
- Cost depends on spareparts & service charges. If there is no complaints, the maintanence cost is zero.
- 1500 to 2000
- 500
- Me too sometimes face this. It happens generally from third to second gear. But I think it's not a problem , I assume when you are not at a specific level that gear should be changed, it won't change. Slow a little bit extra & it will change. As you might have observed that you can ride 25kmph in 5th gear without any problem.
- Huge gear problem: 1) Often you will not reach Neutral from 2nd or 1st gear at the first attempt 2) While changing gear you may stuck between two gears 3) Gear become hard and do not freely shift if you are not at the right speed
- Frist take a one to two time problem servicings time complete problem salove again stuck take care me no I am rider
