In my bike of Honda Unicorn 160, model of April 2016, mileage result given to me in 28 kilometres only, I want increase mileage of atlest 45 kilometres, please suggest.
I have also same problem very low average in unicorn 160.have headache for this bike
I have the same problem very low mileage .i git headache for this bike now
A little clearance regarding fuel efficiency between any bikes, lower CC bikes are more fuel efficient than higher CC bikes. So even with a difference of 10CC it will be different with small margin.
Yes I think unicorn 150cc which I use it's 1year old and more good in mileage then 160cc.
All Honda models in the 150 / 160 cc segment is good at fuel efficiency.
1.You get the same engine refinement from both the machines. With respect to overall engine performance Unicorn 160 is better with higher power and torque. 2.Both bikes return almost the same fuel efficiency. 3.The maintenance and service cost is almost the same for both the bikes. 4. Unicorn 160 is easier to manoeuvre through traffic because of lesser dimensions and weight compared to Unicorn 150. Also the unicorn 160 is equipped with digital instrument cluster where as Unicorn 150 has an analog cluster.
The engine and the body graphics, the 160 can accelerate like accelerate hard but lacks maneuvering because of the long wheel base. Mileage is also below average. If mileage is the concern then 150 it is.
160 has the looks like a hybrid of a commuter and street bike with a powerful 163cc engine which can hit speeds closer to 110kmph while unicorn 150 is a commuter with a slightly less powerful 150cc engine. The 160 can easily cruise at 95kmph while unicorn 150 tends to vibrate excessively at that speed.
Yeah its a perfect bike. I drive this bike 400 km in one day this bike is comfortable in all types of roads because of suspension. Many peoples are driving bullet for long drive but unicorn also the good bike. The people can take for long drive
Not comfortable for long rides. The bike is nice with good power for it's segment but the suspension and riding posture it is uncomfortable when you drive for long time
Sir you are the one giving review about this bike not good. this bike is perfect bike for all.
Not really. I'll rather refer it as commuter. A little off-roading in hilly areas will be fine for the bike. Even if you stay at hill station with tarmac roads then this bike is great. It has enough torque compared with similar cc bikes.
Yeah, you can rely on Honda CB Unicorn for hilly areas, as it is a sturdy and big bike built on quality material references and comes with decent enough power and strength required for such tracks and conditions.
Yeah it is good, the engine roars hard can rev until 9500rpn easily. The torque is awesome in both the 3rd and 4th gear.
I have a unicorn 160 and i have been facing many problems now. 1. Mileage. It gives around 45 kmpl only which is bad2. There is some issue in the rear suspension. I read online and found the same. Had to change it 3 years post purchase and it still doesn\'t work. There is something that is missing. I have rode FZ and gixer and they give a lot better ride quality.3. They have the worst service centres. The vehicle has to be taken 3 times for fixing a problem. 4. Brake issue. The brakes are terrible like the suspension. I do not have CBS but hard braking at 15kmph itself makes the vehicle skid. This makes confidence very low at high speeds. And yes i have reported rhis issue many times and they keep changing the brake pad but the issue still persists.I have rode the unicorn 150 and it did not seem to have these issues except worst service. That is the reason for its failure
I just bought unicorn bs6 bike but not satisfied with the performance. Main issue is it's suspension. On minor bumpy road bike chasis jump like horse. It doesn't stay steady. And engine breaking and racing has sound of thud. I done first servicing and brought in notice of mechanics but they has same old answer it's new bike will take time to gel all part. I daily comments 50 km. I have cross my first 1000 km but still no difference . Now engine also sound weird. More over you pay more bucks for such bike, where you don't have digital meter. You can't stay dependent on fuel meter. As when you top up 2 litres of petrol it shows 75% tank full. If any one has suggestion for mention point. Please do reply.
I purchased 160cc 3months back even I have the same problem of back side sounds and the technician of Honda Service centre are also unable to detach the problem... I totally disappointed with the new bs6 unicorn 160cc bike's performance..... I will never suggest any one to buy this....
Kick start and the gear shifting are the major issues, the difficult task in this model is starting using the Kick rod, in the rare condition I success to make it start in two or three trails. If the bike behaves like this initial stage, what could we expect after few years usage? As well as the smooth moment is missing with the BS6 model compared to the previous version.

Me too the same issue the company people saidthe same it is the company settings but its sounds are irritating us because of not in smooth start when the problem will solve is it permanent settings or it will become normal after some period? also we have to wait for 1.5 minutes for every 4 hours start. is there any solution for this? please help on this if any has solution.
I am facing the same problem of Rpm. when I start the bike Rpm automatically goes on 3000, and it is so annoying to hear that sound. I recommend you when you start the bike wait for 30-40 seconds after starting the bike, and the rpm will get low on their own.
I got my bike one month ago and have exact same issue. Today I got my first service. I asked the guy at the service center about the issue and he just said that its the company's setting. See man we are not alone in this.

If you mean it isn't starting when it's in gear with the clutch disengaged, and it used to start under those conditions, check to see if there's a pin switch on the clutch lever housing that's gotten stuck. If so, then the starter won't be able to tell you've got the clutch lever pulled and will refuse to start. You should be able to fix it by spraying some light lubricant (like WD-40 or a silicone-based lube) down the shaft of the switch. Don't use anything heavy like white lithium grease.
