Q. Confused between, FS-Z Fi V3 and MT-15?
  • Both the bikes are good in their forte. In nearly every aspect, except maybe ergonomics and braking, the Yamaha FZS-FI v3.0 fails to impress. While its motor offers better fuel efficiency compared to the previous-gen model, it lacks grunt. If you have around Rs 1 lakh to invest, you're better off with say a TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 or the Suzuki Gixxer. Whereas, the Yamaha MT 15 BS6 is more than just the R15 v3 sans fairing. The naked looks sharp is light and can be a hoot to commute. However, the compact riding posture might be a bit too tight for large riders. What is also disheartening is the poor switchgear and build quality as well as the lack of dual-channel ABS. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
Q. Apache RTR 1604v 2021 & FZ-S FI V3 Bluetooth model. which one is best suggest me?
  • Selecting the right bike would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. In nearly every aspect, except maybe ergonomics and braking, the Yamaha FZS-FI v3.0 fails to impress. While its motor offers better fuel efficiency compared to the previous-gen model, it lacks grunt. If you have around Rs 1 lakh to invest, you're better off with say a TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, or the Suzuki Gixxer. Yamaha FZS-FI V3 is powered by a 149 cc engine. This FZS-FI V3 engine generates a power of 12.4 PS @ 7250 rpm and a torque of 13.3 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The claimed mileage of FZS-FI V3 is 55.42 kmpl. On the other hand, The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has been the benchmark when it comes to 160cc motorcycles. With the BS6-compliant iteration, TVS has made sure it is still as sprightly, with the '21 update making it the most powerful bike in the 160cc sporty commuter class. The overall package and reasonable pricing make it a true value-for-money motorcycle in its segment. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7 cc engine. This Apache 160 4V engine generates a power of 17.63 PS @ 9250 rpm and a torque of 14.73 Nm @ 7250 rpm. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
Q. Which edition of FZs-FI V3 bike is good?
  • Yamaha FZS-Fi comes in just one variant and is priced at Rs 1,07,200. It however gets special Dark Knight and Vintage Edition color variants that costs Rs 1,08,700 and Rs 1,10,700. (All prices, ex-showroom Delhi). In terms of features, the FZS-Fi comes with single-channel ABS as standard and chunky tires. The bike's negative LCD instrument console displays information like a fuel gauge, odometer, two trip meters, F trip, and a clock amongst others. There’s also an ECO indicator that guides riders with throttle modulation to help extract more fuel efficiency from the engine. Vintage Edition comes in a British Racing Green color with a tan brown single-piece seat. Which is an additional Rs 2,000 over the premium Darknight color. The FZ-S Fi gets the same set of features as the Darknight trim. It comes equipped with the Yamaha Connect X Bluetooth module that allows you to monitor your bike’s activities as well as remotely lock it. The 2021 FZS FI V3.0 was updated with the smartphone connectivity that came as standard across all the color variants. So if have a color preference then you may go for Dark Knight or Vintage Edition color. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Excellent. However, the acceleration

Excellent. However, The acceleration is suspect. At times, Power does not kick in.After several attempts, You gently increase the throttle, It kicks in.Battery delivers it’s promise - so far.I wonder how it will perform in monsoons if you are caught in an unexpected rain.

    Throttle speed

Purchased on 1 march 2023. This product is under powered, Throttle speed is mentioned @ 25 kmph but that is inaccurate with the throttle full the max speed attained is 22-23 kmph (as per google maps). With pedals, the max speed attained on flat roads is 25 km. On downhills with 7th gear and pedals, one can achieve 35 km. The build quality of the product is premium though but if you want to commute then it is for sure a so-so product. Not worth the 55k hero is charging.

    a companion for lifetime

When it comes to the topic about expensive vehicles yet worth their functioning, the Yamaha FZS 25 is a great example. It is a tough and classy two wheeler model, which is magnificent, excellent in versatility. The seat is cushiony soft although tight and tough. My brother bought this few months ago and has given an account of excellent experience of his with this model. The exterior is quite well designed with bright led headlights and taillights. The features are very comfortable to use.

    Smooth and responsive engine

My Yamaha FZS-FI V3 is a stylish 150cc bike based on the Yamaha FZ-FI V3, offering a few extra features for a more feature-rich and potentially comfortable riding experience. It has a 149cc engine which provides a quite decent power in this segment. The FZS-FI V3 provides some extra features that enhance comfort and potentially style. It offer a slightly more comfortable ride for both rider and pillion passenger. However its engine does not provides much power for highway rides .

    Good handling and riding

The Yamaha FZ-FI V3 is a popular 150cc bike known for its sporty design, fuel efficiency, and well-rounded performance. My father gifted me this bike on my 21 birthday . It is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine . The 5-speed gearbox provides a balance between comfortable cruising and efficient gear changes make it me easy to ride in traffic. The pillion seat is smaller and might not be ideal for long rides with a passenger.

    Daily Commuting with Flair

After using the Yamaha FZS FI V3 extensively for about eight months, there are several features and a few drawbacks worth noting. Powered by a 149cc engine like its FZ counterpart, this bike offers a similar output of 12 PS power which works quite well for daily commuting. The overall handling and riding posture are excellent, providing comfort on various road conditions. A standout feature for me has been the single channel ABS which gives a considerable confidence boost while braking under tricky circumstances.
