Everything that’s new and everything that’s been retained

Just a couple of days ago, Yamaha launched the FZ-S version 3.0 in India. Along with a few minor tweaks, the bikemaker also added a new variant to the FZ-S line. Here are all the key things you should know about the updated motorcycle.

A Tad Bit Modern

The 2022 Yamaha FZ-S 3.0 standard now features an LED taillight as standard. As mentioned, Yamaha has also launched a new variant, the FZ-S FI Deluxe. Compared to the standard model, the new variant gets LED turn indicators, an LED taillight, new graphics, coloured alloys and a dual-tone seat cover (exclusive to Metallic Black & Metallic Deep Red Colours).

Same Motor

The 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor has been retained and continues to dish out 12.4PS and 13.3Nm. Not to mention, the aforementioned numbers are the lowest when compared to its rivals – TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, Suzuki Gixxer, Hero Xtreme 160R and the Honda XBlade

Overall, Yamaha has left the new FZ-S mechanically untouched. It’s sprung by the same telescopic fork and 7-step adjustable monoshock. Even the 282mm front and the 220mm rear disc brakes are the same as the predecessor.

New Colour Wave

The Yamaha FZ-S Deluxe is available in three colours: Metallic Black, Metallic Grey and Majesty Red. While the Metallic Black and Majesty Red colours are paired with Golden coloured alloys, the Metallic Grey shade gets blue wheels.

Asking Price

Yamaha has priced the 2022 FZ-S standard model at Rs 1,15,900 and the Deluxe variant at Rs 1,18,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
