I drive a tata nexon petrol xma variant - 2020 model.It is a pleasure to drive, Premium vehicle.The power steering and ride handling is absolute pleasure.It has an unmatched ground clearance apt for indian roads.Performance is smooth in city mode and absolutely dashing in sports mode.Has good leg space in second row and a huge boot space.The four pillars are the major draw back of the vehicle.You never see incoming vehicles while cornering due to the front pillars.Its also difficult to see traffic coming from behind while trying to cross the opposite lane looking behind due to the wide back pillar.People with above average body will face difficulty in driver seat during long rides.The vehicle performance is great.Fast gear changing in eco mode, Balance ride with good pickup enough for quick overtakes in city mode and sports mode will definitely bring a smile for any driving enthusiasts.The nexon gives an average mileage of 13 kmpl in city conditions and above 17 kmpl in highways in city mode.The best feature of the nexon is its body and build quality, Which will put the suzuki ones to shame.The doors and bonet are heavy and strong which will definitely keep its passengers safe from any crashes.The body roll over is minimum.The quality suspension promises a comfort drive to its passengers in any road conditions.The fully digital instrument cluster will give all and any information on the vehicle.The built in infotainment systems and speakers are of great quality that you won't have to think of installing a custom one later.Plastics used inside the nexon is of premium quality and designs.Same is to be said about the fabrics for seats.Tata dealers has come a long way in providing satisfactory after sales service.They have improved a lot and really developed the network of dealership and service points.The nexon is worth every penny.The low maintenance costs and durability of the vehicle and its components gives peace of mind to its customers.

Other than luxury and sheer performance i wanted everything in a car. Among those good amount of ground clearance, decent angle of approach and departure, safety, space, comfort, fuel economy, price were my main points which I was looking for. My budget was stricktly under 10lakh. So there was only one car that was fulfilling all my criteria and that was Tata Nexon XM, petrol manual. I considered Ford ecosport and Hyundai Venue also. Ecosport i rejected it because of the tiny tyres and overall space. Didn't go for venue because it more looks like a soft roader than a muscular SUV. This is my personal opinion only and looks are highly subjective. Did a lot of comparison between Venue and Nexon as Venue had an upper hand in terms of quality, fit and finish but it could not match the Nexon's build quality and driving dynamics, ride and handling. On top of all these things, I am a very big fan of Mr. Ratan Tata and its an Indian brand. So decided to go for Nexon. 🙂

I have driven 15000 kms till now and my experience with nexon includes both positive and negative.Let me share positive followed by negatives positives: 1.Very confortable seating posture that will ensure you comfort ride for long distnaces2.Safety and robust build quality ; the build quality makes you feel you are sitting in a defence tank3.Ground clearance and spacious interior are note worthynegatives1.I am really disappointed with the engine performance: you will notice high lag and i always feel lack of power in low revvs which we drive most of the times2.Rattling noise is observed frequently3.The dashboard looks outdated and the reflects alot and makes driving discomfort during nights4.Service experience is other zone where there is ample of scope for improvement.

So the car js good in all 3 modes although eco mode is best suited when you cruise in 80s to get a beautiful mielage.3 cylinder does create minor issues.Which the upcoming service can fix.Clutch could have been better.Having said that best in the segment.Ground clearance awesome bootspace awesome price perfect.Good music.Harman is heaven music man.!! overall a 4/5 as slight improvements can be found which you will find with your own driving style.The mielage in city with ac 9-10kmpl without ac 11-13kmpl the mileage in highway is 14-15kmpl with ac(avg 80-100 kmph) and 15-16kmpl without ac at same speed.Above 100 mileage performs on your skills of driving.Hope i answered most things!!.Thanks il put a combined mielage below which is an average of everything.

Diesel engine is very sluggish especially at low gears (like in crowded places or at signal crossings) the pickup is very poor and the engine is noisy.

I own nexon xms diesel 2022 model within span of 3 months i drove around 8500 km, I have upgraded to original alloy wheels from tata.Engine sound is bit high compared to other diesel vehicles, But performance and drivability is awesome.I am from rural side, Where roads will not be proper, Ground clearance of this vehicle makes sure i reach all my places without single problem.Tata needs to look into interior part and finishing.Obviously there is no doubt nexon is a demon beast.

Am owner of tata nexon xm-petrol(2019) variant from chennai.The car is very good and reliable in terms of features and safety.Mielage in city is 12-14 kmpl whereas on highways ranges from 17-21 kmpl but depends on the way how you drive.Since it has a ground clearance of 209 mm you can expect the feel on the road when u are driving on uneven surface yet it is handled well by their suspension mechanism.The most annoying feature is the mode dials- i wish nexon never gave that feature.
