It took Tata a bit over 9 months to roll out the latest one lakh units of the Nexon

The Tata Nexon has achieved its six lakh production milestone since the nameplates debut back in September 2017. It’s one of the most popular SUVs in India, thanks to its good looks, expansive features list, comfortable interior and enough boot space for your family and multiple powertrain options.

Tata’s popular subcompact SUV first debuted as a concept back at Auto Expo 2014 and the production model was launched on September 17. Over its lifespan, Tata kept on updating the SUV with variant rejigs and plenty of special editions. In 2020, the model received its first facelift and along with it, the all-electric version was also released, which received a strong response.

Fast forward to 2023 and the Nexon received a major facelift, changes so much that it feels like a new generation model. You get a much sharper fascia, a more minimalist interior, even more feature options and a dual-clutch automatic transmission with the turbo-petrol engine. To know our impressions on the 2023 Nexon, you can tap the links below to head to our reviews:

The Tata Nexon is currently priced from Rs 8.1 lakh, while the all-electric Nexon EV starts from Rs 14.74 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The ICE version locks horns with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite. The Nexon EV, on the other hand, rivals the Mahindra XUV400.
