The Glamour 125 BS6 has got a new diamond frame instead of the tubular double cradle chassis seen on the previous model. The new, fuel injected, BS6-compliant 125cc motor makes around 11PS at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm. Hero claims the power output in the BS6 variant is 19 per cent more than the first-gen Glamour. More importantly, Hero has equipped the new Glamour with a five-speed gearbox instead of the four-speed gearbox in the previous iteration. The manufacturer also claims that the new Glamour 125 has a 100mm wide rear tyre, which should offer better stability. Mileage depends on a lot of things. And to get the best mileage, a tonne of protocols need to be followed. I get between 50-60 but if too much traffic then 40. To get best mileage follow the points:-1. Dont accelerate too hard in one go. Always accelerate smoothly and gradually increase speed with gear.2. Keep riding in economy i.e. 30-50 kmph3. Try to ride at higher gears. Lower gears create drag which burns fuel.4. Try to maintain a constant speed which totally depends on traffic.5. Turn off engine at crossings with time more than 17 secs.6. Avoid braking too hard and using too much clutch. Braking hard means excessive use of accelerator which burns fuel. And if u accelerate say at 50 kmph and brake everytime to stop after every few secs, you're burning extra fuel. Whereas if u ride at 30 kmph, you will avoid that braking.7. Change Engine Oil at regular intervals.8. Keep tyre inflated to recommended pressure. Low tyre pressure results in less mileage.9. Dont revv too much.10. Try mixing power/speed fuel with normal fuel. 1/3rd speed and 2/3rd normal fuel.11. Apply chain lube to bike chain atleast once every 3 months. Every month if using bike at tough terrains. Even after so many steps mileage can be affected by a lot of external factors like high traffic
Good performance with digital display bigger seats..tubeless tyres ..disc brake..and mileage not less than 50kms per litre in city.
City performance is absolutely perfect and you can easily get 60-65 mileage if you drive in economy.
Both Honda SP 125 and Hero Glamour are comfortable enough for taller riders. Moreover, the SP 125 is among the best motorcycles launched by Honda in the recent past. It’s refined, fund to ride, frugal and offers a good list of features and if you are looking for a 125cc commuter, then you may go for it. For a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
Both bikes are good, but glamour is not so popular among hero' bikes. I will prefer Victor because i have owed it and I m ridding the same in my regular routine. Bike is very good in performance, Average what i get is 63 to 65, Pick up is superb, mascular body gives you feel of 150 cc bike, tyres are broad so you get balance ride, lights are more bright, refined engine. What more you want from one low budget commute bike. Think wise buy smart Victor stay happy.
You are wrong. Glamour is utter waste. TVS Victor is superb.
I am using Pulsar 150 for last 10 years. I don't find it worth purchasing. If you love fast speed & high pick up then only purchase Pulsar, otherwise don't go for it. Its maintenance is highest among all bikes, it's parts are also costly. Mileage is not good maximum 35KMPL only. Ever two years it requires engine work which costs you around Rs. 15000. In 6 years time the amount you will spend on Pulsar you can Purchase a new bike on that amount. I have spent more than Rs. 60000 on Pulsar in 10 years time. I really regret why I purchased Pulsar. Go for any bike either of Hero or Honda. Their bikes are less costlier in terms of maintenance. Rest you know what are you looking for in a bike. If you are looking for mileage then go for Hero or Honda. For pick up & high speed, go for Pulsar & TVS Apache, also can consider Yamaha.
Bajaj pulsar is offering so much models now according to the requirements from the classic varient to dual disc. It offers brilliant performance, mileage along with extreme refinement. Some features such as backlit switches, engine kill switch are still miss on the bikes that are more expensive then pulsar. and why to pay your hard earned money on 125 cc bikes when you can get a 150 cc bike at same price. Past already proves the rich heritage of pulsar. Pulsar would be better choice among glamour and shine sp.
Looks - Pulsar, hands down. Mileage - Hero would be the best bet. All three bikes should last more than a decade although engine refinement would be typically better in Honda (and Hero, remember the old Hero Honda connection).Glamour and Shine are strictly commuters. They are good if the only need is to travel short distances inside the city. However, Pulsar gives you the freedom to go beyond the cities comfortably and do longer highway trips comfortably.
See , I can say go blindly with Honda shine sp series latest model. But yes , your question will be Why ? Ask few questions to yourself. 1) Which company has more experience of making two wheeler engine. 2) Which company is technically sound. 3) Which bike has resale value. 4) Which company bikes in market gives constant mileage even after 2-3 years. ( Most of the bikes gives less mileage after 2-3 years of use ) Coming to Shine and glamour 1) why shine would have become highest selling bike. Why lot of people are going for shine 2) Do you know what will be future of glamour. ( Or company may stop production like TATA NANO ) 3) SHINE is running on road from last 10+ years and still it is top selling bike ( like Alto and WagonR in four wheeler) 4) Engineers of SHINE have learnt over the period and made that bike smooth and superior . You can say almost perfect for city conditions. So you can definitely go for SHINE. Take a test ride if you want. Feel that smooth engine , perfect pickup , and less need of frequent gear change.( Most of the time there is no need of gear change as even on 4th gear I have started my bike..( not Joking .. you can test ride my bike.) Finally ... Be wise and push yourself with decision.
In terms of overall styling glamour is better and in terms of fuel efficiency both shine and glamour are equal. In terms of engine sound glamour is better with a bassy solid sound and shine feels like a broken silencer. In terms of comfort and driving dynamics glamour is better with a heavier weight that helps in highway wind blast experience and service cost is lower in glamour. Overall glamour is a better product with more resale value in every part of India.
Cb shine gives you a good built quality with torque though glamour has more stable in many cases that doesn't mean shine has no comfort... i myself travelled asansol to jharkhand with my mom total 280 km up-down.... asansol to digha with my girlfriend total 600km up-down still very comfortable... so performance wise no doubt you can go for cb shine

How many km you can ride the bike.... actually if you ride in a economy speed and condition of the bike is good, engine oil maintained then don't worry about the bike, depends on your stamina...I have ridden 120km nonstop the glamour carburettor model
I have run maximum of 120 km on glamour in a single day continuously with short few rests in between. Felt quit comfortable, proud of and lucky.
Jitni aap chala pao utni chal jaigi aur agar jada chalani h toh high displacement ki bike lelo DON'T EXPECT PERFORMANCE DRIVING FROM A COMMUTER BIKE
I own BS6 Hero Glamour (New) and you can easily ride at the speed of 80km+ and don't expect that you can have very good performance in commuter bikes If you want to drive fast then you can go for sports bike or high displacement bikes
I Have not tried the New i3s glamour but yes i own the old glamour (2016 model) and there is no vibrations till 65-75kmh. If there is vibrations in your bike after 45kmh then take it to service station and have it checked and if problem persist then contact customer care of hero through email.
I haven't heard something like this....better to do a test ride yourself...and if you have minimal awareness about the nature then I don't think there any need of the i3s technogy because max riders don't keep there engines idle in traffic signals... usually doing rev it
I change between 2500-3000 kms. Its better to use company suggested 10W30 grade. I use 10w30 Motul Semi Synthetic Oil. If the rides are not long and less pressure on clutch and brakes then you can change after 3500 kms else 2000 max.
At each servicing we have to change the oil .on that service only which is company had declared for example - 1st servicing at 500km you have to be change engine oil.
Considering mineral oil you should change at almost 2000kms.....if your daily riding is more than 100 kms and do long riding then better to change at 1500kms.....you can use 20w-40 grade....but I suggest to stick at the company says i.e 10w-30
