According to a Japanese newspaper report the upcoming Honda RC213V-S hyperbike will be priced at Rs 1.04 crore. The pricing has been revealed by Asahi Shimbun, Japan’s second largest daily newspaper. Apart from pricing, the newspaper also added that the Honda RC213V-S will be manufactured at the Honda plant in Ozu, Japan. The bike was publicly showcased for the first time at the 2014 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. Honda had two RC213V-S’s on display at EICMA, the first one was a running prototype to highlight the fact that the whole bike has been crafted from carbon fibre and apart from the name it shares lot of chassis technology with the RCV213V MotoGP machine. The other Honda RC213V-S was a static motorcycle finished in traditional HRC colours with the Japanese flag at the centre to celebrate 100 years of the EICMA show. The Honda RC213V-S according to the Japanese two-wheeler giant is the road going version of the RC213V MotoGP machine that won both the riders and constructors title in the 2014 season of premiere class racing.
Given all these credentials, it is not really surprising that Honda is quoting such an astronomical price for the limited edition motorcycle. With MotoGP stalwarts like Marquez, Pedrosa and Casey Stoner giving their inputs in developing the Honda RC213V-S one can expect the bike to be a hoot to ride. With a sticker price of Rs 1.04 crore, the Honda RC213V-S will be the most expensive Honda motorcycle to ever go on sale.
