Maruti Alto 800 Latest Updates

Maruti has pulled the plug on the Standard and LXi variants of the Alto which packed a single driver-side airbag. The carmaker recently hiked the prices of the entry-level hatchback by Rs 8,000, subsequently increasing its starting price to Rs 3.39 lakh. It is now equipped with dual airbags as standard.

Maruti Alto 800 Engine

The Alto is powered by a BS6-compliant 796cc 3-cylinder petrol mill, delivering 47PS/69Nm, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. It has a fuel efficiency of 22.05kmpl.

Maruti Alto 800 Variants

The Alto-800 is now retailed in four variants: Std (O), LXi (O), VXi, and VXi+. It is available in six body shades: red, white, silver, green, grey and blue. Maruti also offers a CNG kit with the LXi trim.

Maruti Alto 800 Features

The Alto-800 had received a facelift back in April 2019 with some styling revisions, especially at the front with an all-new grille and a redesigned bumper. Interior highlights include a 7-inch Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features on offer are reverse parking sensors, driver, front co-passenger airbags, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder for both front occupants, as well as ABS and EBD.

    Driving experience is good but it requires much more power to overtake the vehicle.Braking is not much good but yes overall the fuel economy is much ahead from the other brands.

  • I bought my Maruti Alto LXI

    I bought my maruti alto lxi variant on 20-01-2018.It has been almost 5 years.I am very satisfied with its performance and it never gave problem and i maintained it very well with regular servicing and regular washing.Good mileage and less fuel consumption.Just do it's jobs silently without any extra expense.Parts easily available in any part of our country and not expensive.Good for daily commute in congested condition and convenient in parking due to its small size.Good pickup in clear roads and good mileage also.
