Yamaha RX100 Latest Updates
The legendary Yamaha RX100 is all set to come back in a modern avatar, confirms the company’s chairman. You can know more about its launch timeline and other details here.
The Yamaha RX100 was undoubtedly one of the most iconic motorcycles to be launched in the country. This bike was responsible for single-handedly changing the way India travelled, also setting a benchmark for two-stroke bikes with its class-leading performance figures. Since its launch in 1985, it more or less ruled the two-wheeler market up until 1996, the year Yamaha discontinued it. The Japanese manufacturer was forced to pull the plug on the icon thanks to stringent emission norms enforced by the government, which spelled doom for all two-stroke vehicles on Indian roads.
Interestingly, the RX100 was the outcome of a radical experiment that Yamaha embarked on to compensate for the RD350’s lack of success in the Indian two-wheeler market. The result was something that even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated, helping the RX100 become the legend that it is today. In fact, many enthusiasts are still willing to pay a bomb for a well-maintained example.
The RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, carb-fed, 98cc, single-cylinder motor that produced 11PS at 7500rpm. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Its impeccable reliability and the affordability factor made the Yamaha RX100 a no brainer for enthusiasts back then. In fact, it was one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines until Yamaha replaced it with the RX-G.

Yamaha RX 100_old style with new technology
I have owned my Yamaha RX 100 for over a year now and it has been quite the trip down memory lane. The bike's 98cc, 2 stroke engine really packs a punch, specially considering its lightweight frame. This iconic motorcycle revs up to about 7000 RPM and offers a surprisingly smooth ride, perfect for city commuting and occasional short escapes on the countryside roads. However, as thrilling as it is, the RX 100 does have its drawbacks primarily its age. Finding spare parts can be a hassle and the lack of modern features like disk brakes or an electric start, definitely makes it feel dated.

Exotic Taste In Bikes
The well-known Rx100 bike's 2-stoke engine possesses a powerful roar like a beast. Featuring an engine of 98cc and 11PS power, it provides a thrilling ride. Having a torque of 10.39 Nm, it offers ultimate joy and fun. If you have one of these, you have a permanent companion in the mechanic. With it as a city commuter, the MPG doesn't matter. The bike comes with 5 gearbox speeds and a symphony-like exhaust sound. With a cafe racer body type the RX100 is our pride and joy, an enchanting and stylish vehicle.

Emotion for Yamaha lovers
It is really easy to ride and is a great bike and is relaunch due to the high emotion and high demand from buyers. The sound of this bike is very good and for Yamaha lovers this bike is an emotion and the engine of this bike is just amazing. Nothing can match the safisfaction and the level of performance it gives but the seating position is little bad. It is an excellent bike with the great pickup and the acceleration of this bike is fast and is still an absolutely great bike.
