Car manufacturers have been back in serious business, which is fairly evident in all that brewed in the first week of March. We’ve got two luxury launches from Volvo and Lexus, followed by multiple variants, features and special edition updates for Skoda, Maruti, Hyundai, and Toyota cars. Meanwhile, Volkswagen has drawn some good limelight by confirming two performance-oriented cars for India and revealing another sub-4m SUV in the global market, which could be India-bound. That said, let’s sip in all that happened around the wheels.
Should you say 2025 Skoda Kushaq and Slavia launched? Maybe yes, precisely not – as this was just a model-year update given to both cars, which made some sought-after features more accessible for buyers. Both the cars also have an update in their warranty policies, which you can check, alongside the new prices, in more detail in this story.

Following the Celerio, Maruti Suzuki has rolled down 6 airbags across all variants of their entry-level car, the Alto K10. And with that, the Maruti hatchback becomes the most affordable car with this safety standard in the Indian market right now. Sure, with this update, the prices of the car have also seen a slight hike. You can check that in this report.

India’s one of the most popular compact SUVs, the Hyundai Creta, received a notable update. It now has its variant lineup rejigged with two new variants to fit in. What that means is not just making some of the features more affordable but also adding more features in its top-spec now. Two colour options are also trickled down to all trims now. Learn more about it here.

Volkswagen confirmed the Tiguan R-Line and the Golf GTI hatchback for the Indian market. The Tiguan R-line will give birth to a whole new gen of SUVs on our shores while the Golf GTI might be limited to a certain quantity. Curious, what’s Volkswagen really up to? Fret not, we’ve covered that along with their timelines in detail here.

More from the German automaker, as they have also revealed the Tera in Brazil. This sub-4m SUV was teased earlier and could be the India-bound Skoda Kylaq-sister-car, hence expanding Volkswagen’s range of offerings in the Indian market. You can learn more about the Tera in this story.

The Volvo XC90 SUV has received a facelift with a price sitting at just above a crore. The newly launched model does get evolutionary updates, say its modest exterior design changes or the subtle interior tweaks in the cabin. Fashioned in six colours and powered by a mild-hybrid turbo petrol engine, this Volvo SUV is sure an interesting watch you can take here.

The Toyota Fortuner Legender, which only featured a single transmission choice before, has now been updated with another. It's still being offered with a familiar design and powertrain and the same single colour option, but its feature set has borrowed an update from the regular Fortuner. We’d leave that for you to check out in the detailed report.

The updated version of the Lexus LX has been launched. And this time around, the update brought a new variant for the first time, hence extending the SUV’s lineup to two variants. The new LX carries a premium of up to Rs 17 lakh over the older model. Learn more about the new LX in this story.

Dark editions have been the trend of the moment in the Indian automotive world. Tata has been a forerunner in this bit, having spread out the same to many of its cars earlier. A report went viral, spreading the word that the Curvv SUV coupe is also on the cards to be given a dark edition soon, especially for the IPL 2025 season. Wonder what’s cooking? Read more about it here.

Another all-black edition, however, was much expected having been showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. The Toyota Hilux Black Edition looks absolutely sinister and intimidating in this avatar. Although, that’s pretty much to it as things under the hood are kept untouched. You can take a closer look at the car in this article.

Indeed, March has taken off with an exciting bunch of updates in the Indian car world and in the next quarter, you can only expect the game to get more serious. Which of these cars in this list intrigued you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
