A Tata Curvv In Dark Edition? Maybe Soon…

Word is in the air that the Tata Curvv could be the latest in the Indian marque’s lineup to get fashioned in a Dark edition soon. In fact, a Red Dark edition can also be seen. We’d not be very surprised to see this coming true, as it is typical for Tata cars to get the same, previously seen with the Nexon EV and very recently with the Harrier and Safari. So, with that in mind, here’s all you can expect from the Tata Curvv Dark edition.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Design

There won’t be any major changes in the overall design language. Just as seen in the Nexon EV, the Tata Curvv dark edition will also bring plentiful blacked-out elements. Instead of dual-tone alloys, it can sport blackened-out alloys. The body paint will also be darker than the Daytona Grey, which is the darkest standing model currently.

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Interior And Features

Same as the exterior, there won’t be significant changes in the interior of the Tata Curvv. It will have the same dashboard and seat layout. The redesign will be done in the detailing and colour of the upholstery.

As for features, it will get the same 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, multi-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a 9-speaker JBL sound system and cruise control. 

Its safety suite will also have the same features as 6 airbags, level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). 

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Powertrain

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition is expected to be available with two powertrain options: the Hyperion turbo Petrol GDI and the Kryotec diesel engine. Here’s the complete powertrain setup found in the regular model:

Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Expected Price And Rivals

The Tata Curvv Dark Edition could be launched in the second quarter of 2025 during the IPL season and in fact, it could be the official car for the IPL 2025 season. That said, the regular prices of the Tata Curvv now range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom).  

It will keep competing against the range of compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor.

With the Tata Curvv’s reception being a little underwhelming, it is likely to be a good decision to refashion this car in a more menacing look. The Curvv already sports a unique coupe design and with a Dark edition with completely blackened-out elements, it can be more eye-catchy and attractive for buyers to consider.
