Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch Confirmed For January 2026? Here’s What You Can Expect

The Skoda Kushaq has been long overdue for a facelift, and the upcoming facelift is one of the most anticipated mass-market product launches by Skoda in India. The refreshed model is expected to get a striking design along with a healthy dose of new features and technology on offer, making it a much more modern and attractive package than before. With sightings of test mules increasing and an early-2026 launch looking likely, here’s a closer look at the facelifted Kushaq’s expected timeline and what the update brings along with it.

First launched in 2021, the Skoda Kushaq was the first product under the brand's “India 2.0 Project”, and it was an instant hit. The car was loved by many, and to date, it is one of the best options to choose from in the segment. Skoda India now seems to be inching towards a long-awaited facelift with hints pointing to an early 2026 debut. Test mules have been spotted frequently, and if early signs are anything to go by, the official launch could be on the cards for January 2026. Once launched, deliveries could start within a month of price announcement. 

2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift: What’s New? 

The facelifted Skoda Kushaq will bring an updated exterior design, incorporating Skoda’s new modern solid design language, and will feature a new grille, new headlights and taillights, redesigned bumpers and tailgate, as well as new alloy wheels.  

When it comes to the addition of new features and technology, this is the department where the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will excel the most. The new model is likely to get a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, an updated infotainment screen with an improved audio system, and a revised driver’s display, while it will continue to offer electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats. 

From the safety point of view, the facelifted Kushaq is expected to get an ADAS safety suite, making it Skoda India’s first mass-market car with such a feature. The car has already scored a 5-star safety rating from Global-NCAP and will likely continue to offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability programme, hill hold control, tyre pressure monitoring system and more.

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq is expected to carry forward the same engine and transmissions as the current model. These include two turbocharged petrol engines with the option to choose from a manual and automatic gearbox. Although the 1.5-litre TSI is now no longer available in a manual gearbox option, let’s see if the facelift could mark its comeback. The Skoda Kushaq Facelift is expected to be priced from Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the new facelifted Kushaq will continue to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Tata Sierra and the Tata Sierra. It will also face heavy competition from the upcoming Renault Duster and from its sibling, the Volkswagen Taigun, making the mid-size SUV segment more dynamic and fierce than ever.
