2026 Skoda Kushaq Launching Soon; Here Are Top 5 Expected Updates!

After being the flag bearer of Skoda’s India 2.0 strategy , the brand has finally decided to give the Kushaq its first facelift with a reworked design, new features and some more updates. But while we wait for its official launch in the next few weeks, here is a list of the Top 5 changes that we expect:

New Front Fascia

Let’s be honest, the Kushaq’s design, although classy and elegant, has started to feel a bit dated lately. And to fix this, Skoda is likely to give the facelift a new front fascia with reworked headlamp clusters, new bumpers and a new connected LED light bar at the front too. It could also feature sequential turn indicators, and a few new colour options as well.

Level 2 ADAS Suite

Skoda has always been known as a brand that takes safety seriously, and the new Kushaq facelift is likely to build upon those credentials with the introduction of a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite with features such as lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring and cross traffic alert. 

These new features will expand its already strong safety net, which currently includes features such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, traction control and front and rear parking sensors.

360 Degree Camera

Another feature that has almost become a segment staple is the 360-degree camera which is also expected to make its debut on the Kushaq with this facelift. While seemingly not as important, it plays a major role in boosting the confidence of new drivers and offers a significant advantage from a convenience and safety standpoint when driving in our dense urban environments. 

Panoramic Sunroof

Equipped with a single-pane sunroof till now, the Kushaq has been at a disadvantage in the compact SUV segment. However, Skoda could give the facelift a larger panoramic sunroof to ensure that it can compete better with rivals like the Creta, Seltos and Sierra by having this crowd-favourite feature.

Besides this, it will also help give a bright and airy feel to the cabin as well.

Connected LED Taillamps

Another cosmetic enhancement that the Kushaq facelift is likely to see, is a connected LED taillamp cluster for a sleeker and more modern look and feel. It will also go alongside some minor design changes to the rear-end styling which could include new bumpers and revised taillamp detailing as well.

Being the first model of its renewed focus for India, the Kushaq has played an important role for the carmaker's India operations by significantly widening the brand’s appeal and increasing the volumes by a big margin. 

However, with new competition recently, it has started to feel a bit old and this facelift will do well to keep the momentum going until we see the next crop of Skoda cars in India.
