2026 Audi Q3 Unveiled In India Finally! Looks Truly A Generation Ahead!

Today marks the dawn of Audi India’s new era. The new-generation Q3 has now been unveiled in India and is to be launched by early next month. The current-generation Q3 has been on sale for too long and feels outdated compared to its rivals, which have taken the class forward in design and features. Let’s explore what the new Q3 in India offers. 

2026 Audi Q3: Exterior

The new Q3 follows the design language of the latest Audi SUVs sold globally. The new fascia is a complete departure from the old, traditional-looking Q3 to a meaner and stately look.

The split headlamp setup has the LED DRLs up top, followed by the twin-pod LED projector headlamps on the bumper. These sit on either side of the large Audi grille, which houses the backlit Audi logo. Unlike many SUVs today, the Q3 does not have connected DRLs but makes up for it with the option of customisable patterns. The simple front end is finished by a faux-silver skid plate mounted on the bottom of the bumper. 

The side profile of the new Q3 looks grown up and more premium than the outgoing model. The long front bonnet, large 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and the thick silver window lines are the key new features differentiating the new Q3. The ground clearance of the new Q3 looks raised by a significant margin compared to the global model. This could help the new Q3’s appeal for people looking to take their luxury SUV to their rural farmhouses. 

The rear end is also a typical Audi SUV thanks to the connected LED tail-lamp design.

Notice the Audi logo on the boot lid is also backlit. What makes the rear end extra sporty-looking is the raked rear glass with the roof-mounted spoiler, almost giving it a coupe-like appearance. The rear end doesn’t look busy but is sophisticated with the sculpted shape of the bumper and the slim triangular LED tail lamps. 

2026 Audi Q3: Interior

Given that this will be close to a Rs 50 lakh luxury SUV, you’d expect a tech-packed cabin. Being Audi, you would be right to expect but they have done it in an understated manner. 

On the dashboard sits a massive curved panel which houses the large touchscreen infotainment and the digital driver’s display. The dashboard is mostly covered in a grey leather and cloth finish. The overall design is kept simple and understated in true Audi fashion.

The interior overall is in a black and brown leatherette finish in most touchpoints. While the space inside is not class-leading, it is not something one would complain about either. The decently spacious cabin is enhanced by the large panoramic sunroof, which adds a sense of space inside. 

2026 Audi Q3: Features And Safety

The new Q3 comes loaded with a large 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In the same panel, the driver gets an 11.9-inch digital display as well. The infotainment is paired with a Sonos premium sound system as well. 

The 2026 Q3 also comes with three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone chargers, active keyless entry, and heated and powered front seats with memory for the driver. 

Safety-wise, Audi has not confirmed all the features. However, we do know that the new Q3 comes with front and rear parking sensors, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers, and select ADAS features.

2026 Audi Q3: Powertrain

The new Q3 will continue to be powered by the same 2-litre turbo petrol engine mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which Audi calls DSG.

The Q3 will also continue to offer Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. A feature which is unique to the Q3, and none of its rivals offer.

The 2026 Audi Q3 is expected to be priced from Rs 48 lakh ex-showroom onwards. At this price, the Q3 will go up against the BMW X1 LWB, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the Mini Countryman C.
