  • The Skoda Kylaq’s styling is typically European, meaning the design is clean, doesn’t feature too many cuts or character lines and will age well
  • Up front, it sports Skoda’s new design language, making the Kylaq the first Skoda in India with the headlights placed below the LED day-time running lights
  • The side profile is highlighted by rather large but not functional roof rails and a sporty-looking set of 17-inch alloy wheels
  • 189mm of unladen ground clearance is plenty to take on even large speed breakers with ease
  • Those who like to stand-out will like colours like Tornado Red and Olive Gold, while Lava Blue is great colour for those who prefer a more understated but classy look
  • Looks relatively smaller than rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Mahindra XUV3XO. Doesn’t offer the same kind of road presence as them

  • In fact, owing to the dashboard’s smart shaping, even drivers as tall as 6.5ft can sit with space to spare!
  • Even users over 6ft tall will like the amount of headroom available in the front and back seat
  • Storage spaces in the cabin are well designed, including phone slots within the seat back pockets and a large storage tray for front occupants to place or wirelessly charge their phone.
  • The front cupholders also get grip pads to make opening bottles with one hand easier while the slide-adjustable armrest also has enough storage space for a wallet underneath
  • The claimed 446 litre boot space is quite accommodating and it can hold one check in-sized bag, two cabin trolley bags and a few back packs too
  • Rear seats split and fold 60:40 to free up more storage space if you need it
  • The seats are contoured to offer good overall support and you will find them good for long journeys
  • While the legroom is good, the width is not ideal for 3 passengers at the rear. Rear AC vent placement also takes leg space away from a middle passenger

  • While there is a little turbo-lag initially, the performance builds smoothly and keeping up with city traffic or making overtakes is hassle-free
  • On the highway, the performance is exciting and fast l. Hitting and crossing 100kmph is easy, even with a passenger load
  • A 6-speed manual transmission comes as standard with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic
  • The manual transmission is easy to drive even in traffic and while the clutch pedal’s travel is long, it’s very light to use too
  • The Kylaq’s 6-speed automatic transmission offers smooth gear changes and will make daily commutes easier. It also gets paddle-shifters for added control

Perfect upgrade for Polo fans

I have bought skoda kylaq classic recently, After owning polo for 14 years. The driving feel, and the build quality is top notch, Interiors feels premium very much similar to polo.Only drawback is the city mileage, Which is similar to my old polo, The turbo engine is punchy and responsive. Overall, It fits my requirements and i'm happy with my purchase.

I didn't try it but as per the advertisement it looks so good to drive. Safety wise it is strong and a fuel efficient car looking to purchase

It has proven QA & QC norms as far as safety is concern. Secondly material used is of higher quality compared to the Toyota Taisor
