- The Tiago is a genuinely good product from Tata motors not because it looks good or handles well or has great interiors, but because it provides a fresh new perspective to the Tata brand in the eyes of the Indian car buyer. Yes, the engines do need a little more refinement and a little more power but if the Tiago delivers best in class fuel economy, we don’t think most Indian customers mind the slightly numb performance. Moreover, selecting a particular variant would depend on the budget, features required in a particular variant, etc. If you are not on a particular budget then we would suggest you go for the XZ Plus variant as it is the top-selling variant of the Tata Tiago. - XZ+. yes sure
- Both Tata Tiago AMT and Maruti Ignis AMT features AMT transmission. Automated Manual Transmission is the automation of the conventional manual transmission system. There is no big change in terms of design, basic principles in AMT as compared to a manual transmission. AMT only eliminates the driver’s effort for the operation of clutch and gear shifting selection as both are done automatically. In AMT, clutch and gear shifter-selector mechanism are operated by a hydraulically operated kit which is controlled by Transmission Control Unit. Shift shocks felt in manual transmissions are not eliminated in AMT. AMT provides a limited gear ratio i.e. 4/5/6 speed similar to a manual transmission. The Tata Tiago would be a better pick as the hatchback boasts brilliant build quality and the 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety. But if you are looking for a small car with attractive styling, decent ride quality, and brilliant build quality then it could be a good option. On the other hand, Ignis gets a quirky design, it has a spacious interior, gets good standard safety tech, and a peppy petrol motor too. It gets considerable good ground clearance that helps it to tackle bad road conditions and it offers more commanding driving ergonomics. It is a great little quirky car that packs in a lot and will put a big smile on your face every time you see it in your garage. A smile big enough to justify that price. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- If you want a smooth and enjoyable;e driving experience on an AMT then the Grand i10 Nios would be a better pick. The AMT system offered on the Nios was developed in-house at Hyundai and debuted on the Santro. The gear shifts are not even perceptible when driven at a normal pace. Also, when driven with a heavy foot, the shift quality does not deteriorate and result in the “head-nod” that is associated with AMTs. Instead, the gearbox takes just a bit longer but delivers a more refined experience. On the other hand, the three-cylinder engine lacks refinement but offers likeable performance. Moreover, for a better understanding of compatibility and riding comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- We have a dedicated article on this which you may refer for a better understating - Article.
- Yes, because my height is 6feet i can drive comfortably.
- Yes, you may opt for the aforementioned services if you want your car protected for a longer time and avoid any sort of inconvenience.
- We would suggest you drive your car at an economical speed of 60-70 kmph for optimum performance and improved fuel efficiency. It is not recommended to drive your new vehicle at a higher speed before the first service.
- The alloy wheels do add to the styling quotient of the vehicle. Moreover, we'd suggest you to opt for the XZ variant of Tata Tiago if budget is not a constraint. Along with the dual-tone hyperstyle wheels, you also get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, height-adjustable driver seat, electric folding rearview mirror, front fog lamps, rear window washer, etc.
- Yes, Tata Tiago XZ Plus comes equipped with Bluetooth Connectivity.
- Depends your driving style

- I used both but i like tiago's road performance
- No only in to variant
- Both Tata Tiago and Hyundai Santro are good city runabout cars with plenty of features. If we talk about the AMT driving experience, the Santro would be a better pick. The shifts are slow and the shift logic also favours a laid-back approach. Once you do start driving the Santro AMT the way it wants you to, you will be rewarded with a fairly smooth experience with very little head nod compared to the other AMTs. On the other hand, Tiago has the most powerful engine on paper and it feels a little more enthusiastic than the Santro, but that’s not saying much. The real miss is that its three-cylinder engine lacks the refinement of the 4s - be it the vibes or the engine rumble. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details. Read More:- Hyundai Santro vs Tata Tiago
- I think you should buy Tiago because in road performance and Safety tigo is better than santro.
- Looking for engine refinement, go for Santro. For everything else, go for Tiago.

- Hi, generally delivery time depends on availability at plant and dealer. In case of Tiago the waiting is roughly 2 months. You need to be chasing regularly to get any priority. Once the booking is done dealers don't pro actively give an up date, at least the ones I booked from MYdsm in Kurla do not, try to find a dealer who has ready stock, if you are flexible with colours. In which case you can get the car in a week

- Tata Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which isn't the most refined engine out there. Now, if refinement is what you are after, the petrol engine does disappoint quite a bit. There is a lot engine noise that creeps in especially when pushed hard and in general, it just feels very rough. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- The hatchback gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine (86PS/113Nm), paired with a standard 5-speed manual and an optional 5-speed AMT. Also on offer is a CNG option with the petrol engine (with only a 5-speed MT), producing 73PS and 95Nm.
- Yes
- No
- Generally, you are required to pay the current on-road price of vehicle despite the lower prices at the time of booking. Moreover, we would suggest you to get in touch with the authorized dealership for more details.
- Both Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios get 1.2-litre petrol units. While the Tiago makes 86PS/113Nm, the engine in Grand i10 Nios puts out 83PS/114Nm. However, a huge difference here is the number of cylinders. The 4-cylinder engine in the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is smooth and the gearbox offers smooth gearshifts, whereas the 3-cylinder engine on Tiago is a bit noisy. If refinement is what you are after, the petrol engine of Tiago does disappoint quite a bit. There is a lot engine noise that creeps in especially when pushed hard and in general, it just feels very rough. But, it makes up for it with being raspy and rev happy. On the other hand, the Nios petrol AMT feels calm and relaxing, and if you are in a hurry you could use the gear lever to control the gearshift. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- You may have the features of Tata Tiago XZ installed afterwards in the base-spec XE variant. However, it would not be a wise decision since you might end up spending more for the feature. Moreover, we would suggest you to get in touch with the nearest authorized dealership in your city for more details regarding the same.
- Tata Tiago could be a good option if you are looking for a stylish hatchback with a brilliant safety package, segment above features and impressive build quality. Moreover, the 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety. The Tiago’s feature list is also the longest and it additionally offers climate control, drive modes, driver’s seat height adjust, adjustable headrests and a cooled glovebox. Yes, this Tiago XZ has the highest asking price at 5.77 lakh, but for that many additional creature comforts, it does justify it. - Yes
- Tata Tiago boasts an attractive design and 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety. However, the three cylinder engines lack punch and the hatch is not as spacious as its rivals. Tata Tiago rivals with the like of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Wagon R, Datsun GO, etc. Wherein, the Nios boasts good built quality.
- Lack Ac vents plastic qualityneed more isolation in bonnetelse everything is perfectcan reduce ac air flow sound
- From my side no demerits it is the best car in the price range
- Both Tata Tiago and Maruti Wagon R are brilliant hatchbacks. WagonR should be the pick for those looking for a versatile compact car, Tiago is otherwise an attractive car with all the features and one of the most attractive designs at this price point. If you are not willing to stretch your budget further and want a practical car with comfortable ingress/egress, spacious boot and basic safety kit. On the other hand, the Tiago would be a better pick if you want hatchback with brilliant build quality and the 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety, however, the cabin isn't as spacious as the rival. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for details.Read More: -

- Selecting between the Renault Kwid and Tata Tiago would depend on your preference of the segment, powertrain, required features, budget, usage, etc. Tiago is powered by a single 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that churns out 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque making it one of the powerful cars in its segment. It can be had either with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. Tiago offers one of the most attractive designs at this price point and the 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety. On the other hand, Kwid is offered with a choice of two petrol engines - a 54PS 0.8-litre unit and a 68PS 1.0-litre option. While the smaller unit is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the bigger engine can also be had with a 5-speed AMT. If your budget allows, we would suggest you to opt for the Tata Tiago for its attractive design, powerful engine, safety tech and its great build quality. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.Read More: - Renault KWID vs Tata Tiago
- I would say go for Tata Tiago. I test both Kwid and Tiago, and Tiago is definitely far better, strong and powerful.
- Tiago for power, safety, features
- Both Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 are good city commuters, however, selecting one would depend on certain factors such as budget, features required, preference of the brand, service network in your city, etc. Tata Tiago is one of the most attractive car at this price point and on top of that the car boasts brilliant built quality and has scored 4-stars in Global NCAP that speaks highly about safety. On the other hand, Hyundai Grand i10 offers a refined engine with decent quality interiors and a spacious cabin. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership. - As per your requirements, the Tata Tiago would be more than compatible with its compact dimensions. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test rive of the car for a better understanding of ergonomics and driving comfort. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of comfort and compatibility. You may click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Very nice
- I have BS IV I can hardly hear the engine at high speed only when it is very quiet outside no traffic night time a slight hum is heard in traffic you can't hear the engine it's super smooth and quiet
- No bs6 reduced alot
- BS4
- BS6
- BS VI has come
- The Tiago is the smallest offering from Tata Motors. Tiago is powered by a single 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that makes 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The hatchback is available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox.
- Tiago
- Tata Tiago offers a maximum of two front airbags.
- Tiago
- I20 is slightly wider than tiago so atleast 6 feet wide gate will suffice but you have to be very precise about it and maybe you can make it 7 feet if the orvm's are open, 9 feet wide road is ample.
- The width of Tata Tiago is 1677 mm and a 6-7 feet wide gate would be good enough for that. Moreover, the available space would be more than enough to park the Tiago.
- If we talk about AMT, here you need not to shift the gears. Gear shift take place according to the set and range of rpms. On the other hand, in iMT, there is no clutch like ATM but you need to shift gears manually. So, if you often tackle heavy traffic and drive in city only, AMT would be a great pick. iMT would provide better performance at hilly terrains and highways nad high speed overtaking. So, selecting one will depend on your requirements.
- You may install the Harman sound system in the XM variant of Tiago, however, for the confirmation we would suggest you to get in touch with the nearest authorized dealership as it would depend on the availability. Follow the link and select your desired city for Tata Car Dealers.
- No
- The gearbox logic, the gearing, and the heavy kerb weight make life difficult for the Tigor in its AMT guise. However, there are two ways you can still make use of this automatic package. Firstly, if you give up your eagerness and adapt to the car's 'chilled out' style, it becomes a very comfortable drive. The shifts are smooth and there is a very little 'head nod' during upshifts. If you let the transmission dictate the pace, the drive becomes comfortable. The car might not be as spacious as the rivals, however, it offers comfortable ride quality. As for the availability and any notification, we would suggest you to connect with the authorized dealership itself. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Ford Figo is powered by BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine develops 96PS and 119Nm while the diesel engine puts out 100PS and 200Nm. On the other hand, Tata Tiago is petrol only offering that gets a 1.2-litre Revotron engine that makes 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Now, if you are looking for a more powerful hatchback with multiple engine options, sporty driving position, and comfortable ride quality, the Ford Figo would be the one to go with. While, the Tiago offers great design and features at a competitive price mark. Moreover, we would suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized dealership and take a test drive for both cars in order to understand the comfort, compatibility and drivability better. Follow the link and select your city for dealership details. Read More: - Ford Figo vs Tata Tiago
- Tiago
- That we have to wait and see because it's just launched in 2016 so anyone buying will have to take a bet on it
- My one is diesel 2016 manual. I have done 1,16,000 km, still too good no noise at all
- Tata Tiago petrol engine life
- Get it installed by Tata motors. Open market there can be issues including warranty, they will give a separate screen, whether it has marking lines or not, without marking lines it is not useful, so you can check out what's best for you, it can be installed
- I have xzplus having camera. Can be installed in xz also but can't show in existing navigation
- How much will it cost for Tiago XZ approx
- There will be somethings like ABS, EBD, automatic climate control which cannot be upgraded in the open market
- No
- I own xz the best thing i exp is tiago music sys and also sound quality is best in class
- It's Harman by JBL best sound quality
- Best in segment audio system
- Tiago is just a few years from its launch so can't say anything about long term but I have a manual tiago 16 months old and what I can say its a good vehicle I like everything about it and for amt version of tiago some people are happy with it and some not happy they complain about power loss all of a sudden so you can check out personally and people also recommend Ford figo amt as being the best so you can check that also all the best
- I'm driving for more than 4 years and have no big maintenance issues with my Tiago , happy and satisfied with the performance of Tiago
- Yes any wire cutting leads to warranty void
- Yes
- Yes
- If you live in a metropolitan city then you can go for an automatic or if you want ease of driving then also otherwise manual is best
- If you need an automatic opt for xza plus and if you are a person who enjoys shifting gears buy xz plus dualtone
- How long taken after booking xza plus
- Altroz is the Great choice.. Ground Clearance is not issue... Think about Safetly,Realibility and Features they are offering... Its good to ignore low ground clearance and go for better safty.. Cheers.
- Build and safety - Hands down winners :TATA Altroz / Tiago.
- If budget is more you can go to altroz 5 star safety rating
- Go for Tiago, if you can increase your budget then go for xz variant
- Tiago is best and safest and complete family car
- Simply go with Tiago amy
- Tiago AMT.
- Tiago AMT
- Since the demand is high, there are chances, but, don't sleep on it.
- Yes new Tiago has BS6 engine
- Yes
- Well. Even i was on this same confusion and bought VW 1.0 comfirtline. Let me tell you if you need premium quality, comfirt drive, safety, and the feel of german brand wwith european standard go for VW polo, but in comfirtline you get 1.0mpi not the turbo charged it will get in highline only, so you feel bit powerless on initial but drive quality is amazing after that in polo. Tiago is good in safety now and yeh 1.2 engine, still you don't feel premium or comfirt drive. You never regret buying polo.
- Even i was on this same confusion and almost decided to buy Tata tiago XZ+ but after seen the POLO, I bought VW 1.0 Comfortline. Let me tell you if you need premium quality, comfort drive, safety, and the feel of German brand with European standard go for VW polo, but in Comfortline you get 1.0mpi not the turbo charged, it will get in highline only, so you feel bit powerless on initial but drive quality is amazing after that in polo. Quality of the inside plastics good, Stylish design finishing .
- Polo is good but it's cost is high and trust me tiago is way much poweful in it's compitition and if you can increase your budget then rather going for non indian brand you can also take a test drive for either altroz or it's turbo variant, will provide you best safety, best braking impressive interior and space and comfort. Take a test drive and decide, you will fall for it for sure.
- Tiago, tigor, altroz have engines...each one have 1.2lac difference..if u Want drive in city Tiago best, if u want more boot space go with tigor...becoz Tiago boot space-240lt, tigor-420lt...altroz best vehicle but very low ground clearance..if u want to drive in off-roads go with nexon...
- From money point of view Tiago is the best and that too xz or xz+ variant
- Go for Nexon
- Best in class leg room front and back.. seating posture is perfect
- Comfortable rear and front
- Not sure, but believe that's a basic feature in any tiago model
- Cooled glove box is available in XZ and XZ+ variants.
- No
- To the best of my knowledge tiago has not been launched in diesel variant that is BS VI
- Was available but from 2020 its not available only petrol
- No they have stopped the diesel variant
- Amt is bit laggy in all cars. If you have to get smooth running have to opt for dual clutch or CVt
- Yes it does, it runs smooth on uphill, better control and better steering experience
- Absolutely...
- I have done a smooth off reading when I bought the car and it did perform awesome but little torque issues here and there but its absolutely brilliant
- Front suspension: Independent; McPherson dual path strutRear suspension: Closed profile; twist beam
- Amazing suspension...
- AMT XZAplus -7.64lac in September 2020... after discount
- AMT XZAplus 7.64lac September 2020... after discounts..
- Above 6.00Laks
- I'm also planning to buy tiago, bit confused with celerio cng earlier but now i have decided to use tiago 2 years as petrol, in future i will go for CNG fit(lovato etc)
- If i install cng from authorised cng fitment will the warranty void or valid???
- No, till date.Tiago is in two engine option onlypetrol and diesel
- No, rear camera. But Top model is equipped with parking sensor
- It's an addon but I really don't require when you have the sensor
- No.. We can fix separate
- I'm 5.11
- 6 feet person might be a tight for the headroom and legroom. better to have a physical verification.
- Seating comfort of tiago is awesome even above 6 ft person can easily manage
- I would say the Tiago XZ varient is the best value for money & it's the fully loaded varient.
- XZ Silver it's total value for money.
- XZ+ and XZ
- Red, Yellow,White,Silver,Blue and grey
- Red,Yellow,Blue,White, Silver and Grey
- Yellow silver gray and more
- Yes sure. He can seet with comfort...
- AMT variant is available. smooth working.
- Yes, the varient is called Tata Tiago XTA
- Yes its basic accessories for all models of Tiago
- No 3
- Yes
- It's really nippy. Good feedback from steering, suspension and really comfortable. I love driving a hatchback and it's almost perfect.
- City and Eco mode available and you can choose city mode for better performance with less mileage.
- Overall good except bad mileage in city with moderate to heavy traffic with ac on in the petrol variant
- Tata tiago is one of the best car under 6.5 car, i have 1.2 liter pertrol engine which ran for 14000km, currently giving a mileage of 21.0 in highway with AC and 18.2 mileage in city with AC. Many people say say they get 9kmpl its a bullshit, either that people don't know to drive a car or he is a new driver. My friend also have same car he gets 24 mileage on highway without AC all time and 19 kmpl in city without AC. This is one of the safest car under 6.5. And if you want to go for more safe then go for altroz. Driving a car safely and efficiently is an talent which comes only when you understand your car while driving, if you don't know driving same car will give you less mileage and less safety
- No never the Tiago is not a good car I have using that car from 2018 yet now it haven't give any mileage or performance to me it's mileage is just 9km/ltr of petrol for first time buyer this car never will be a good I am sure of having experience on Tiago and then The safety if you I'll pay this money youill get better and safety car
- Really good car. With a Sturdy Chassis, finely tuned suspension, refined engine and well adjusted steering. Provides 2 airbags on option & has a thud of reassurance when you close the door. Really good car. In 99.2% of accidents, the occupants walked with minor injuries. If you really wanna test it, you can lift up the good . It's heavy!!
- We purchased our 1st car brand new a week back - Tata Tiago and I am extremely saddened to say that my experience has not been good with the fit and finish of the car. We are not delighted at all/. I see those odd fitting gaps running throughout the car here and there. The fit and finish of the car inside and outside is bothering me a lot. Please suggest what can I do. Legal preceeding if any Dealer is compelling me for repair but its a new brand but sad part its a defective one.
- I am using this tata tiago xz version and touch wood no issue till the date. Amazing suspension good average and strong body... you can compare it with honda Amaze and baleno. Luxury car it is. Thanks tata motor....
- It's a really well built car. There is just one thing. Concerned that is just a small issue. The plastics used in some places get quite jittery at times due to bumps. It's not a big deal.
- In city with heavy traffic and ac on my patrol tiago gives 8 km /litre without ac ,this climbs up to 10 km/ litres. In highway with very good road conditions you can expect 16km/ litres with ac on and 18- 19km pl without ac . The only downside of this petrol car ,I feel ,is it's extremely poor mileage in city conditions with heavy traffic
- Mileage totally depends upon one's driving and traffic and road conditions. Same goes for safety the first safety feature is driver other than that it is 4 star ncap rated. I get around 16kms in city and around 23kms highway in eco mode AC used as required not constantly.
- The mileage which I got is just 9km/ltr of petrol tata Tiago is safe by dual frontal airbags but other cars in this price point is also getting dual curtain airbags which gives safety for rear passengers so it's better to choose others instead of tiago
- 2 services free. Third service also free but there will be oil change for which you need to pay.
- Cheaper, low maintenance compared to other models in this segment
- About 3500rs per yr. Annual maintenance.
- I'd say Tiago is better in safety and build quality. Its really sturdy. Best in class body panel thickness. Its 1200kgs. So there you have an answer. I would prefer solid Tiago over a cheap and cheap built Swift.
- Obviously swift for humans safety and tiago for vehicle safety body built. If you wish to live long then swift is the best or rather if you don't want to live and your car needs live then Tiago
- Swift is only for 50,000 km for smooth drive after 50,000km it is hard driving . Tiago is a very good
- Can you please tell me how much it will going to cost?
- Can you please tell me how much it will going to cost?
- Where do you get this information?
- 3 cylinder, little noise in engine and vibration. CNG can be fitted in
- No it's a 3 cylinder 1199 cc engine producing 84 bhp.
- Its a 3 cylinder engine
- Of course the Celerio X I have experience on Tiago it willnt gives any mileage but the Celerio gives mileage and also better performance then cost of Celerio is lesser than Tiago too the x Variant looks so sporty too and its orange color is the best as it looks so sporty so for safety Tiago and Celerio both got 4 stars and for features and better mileage and performance and driveability the Celerio X is the best
- I think Tiago is the best in the segment. Period. Best built quality, looks, performance, mileage & overall comfort. Celerio is just a cheap built car. I would strongly suggest that you go with tiago
- Boath are compititive
