Triumph has unveiled the eight custom motorcycles for its ongoing ‘Originals’ competition
Has participants from all over the world
Triumph has officially unveiled all eight custom builds taking part in its global ‘Originals’ competition. Teams representing the UK, USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy and Thailand were invited to transform one of the bikes from the Bonneville range, each adding their own cultural twist while celebrating British originality.

Starting with the UK, the Bonneville Sunraiser, is inspired by the 1960s British rock ‘n’ roll era. Built by Stockwell Design at Triumph London, it’s based on the T100 and finished in polished aluminium and stainless steel, with a delightful white and blue colour scheme and a bespoke cursive Triumph logo. All in all, the retro styling screams the classic 60s saying - “Make love, not war”.

The USA entry comes from Triumph Indianapolis and is built on a Bonneville T120. It pays tribute to Indianapolis’s racing roots and Triumph’s British manufacturing heritage. The bike stands out with its bold blue and yellow livery, heritage logos, and a skyline graphic. Though it has the go-fast Indy 500-themed look, it also wouldn’t look out of place, chilling on the coastal roads of Miami.

Mexico’s team, Aftercycles, used the Bonneville Bobber as their canvas. Their bike includes clever British touches like a yellow seat stitching inspired by Dr. Martens and a Harry Potter-style “Platform 9¾” badge on the throttle body. We wish the headlight cowl could’ve been a little more cohesive, but then again, as they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.

From Brazil comes Gaijin, a dark and stealthy cafe racer based on the Speed Twin 1200. Created by Shibuya in São Paulo, it features handcrafted bodywork, a subtle scallop paint design, a sculpted tank, and a sharp, reworked tail section. This matte black custom cafe racer will look mean as hell rolling down the favelas.

France’s entry, called Hail to the Twin, is a stunning tribute to Triumph’s iconic parallel twin engine. Built by FCR Original using a Speed Twin 1200 RS, the bike has a clean yet aggressive look with a completely reworked rear end and a one-off front wheel. The engine is highlighted with copper and gold leaf detailing. That swingarm…oooh! It is as gorgeous as French architecture.

Canada’s build comes from Motos Illimitées, a custom house in Quebec. Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, it features a hand-formed stainless steel exhaust, gold fork, lowered handlebars and a deep graphite-and-gold paint job with hand-laid pinstripes and a Triumph heritage logo. This one looks a lot more ‘unapologetic’ than the stock bike. See what we did there?

Italy’s South Garage Motor Co has used the Bonneville Bobber, taking inspiration from the 1930s and 1940s Speed Twins. The frame has been reworked and features a custom-built fork and carefully crafted details. The combination of steel, copper colour scheme along with the girder fork make it the perfect steampunk motorcycle that H.G. Wells would be proud of.

Finally, Thailand’s entry comes from The Zeus Custom in Bangkok. Called Art of Motorcycle, it’s a custom Bonneville T100 in Zeus’s signature style. Highlights include a handcrafted short exhaust with laser-etched Zeus branding and leatherwork featuring a built-in wallet with an embroidered logo. Who said a dirt-friendly scrambler can’t look clean?
Soon, these eight unique builds will be narrowed down to five finalists, before a winner is crowned by a panel of four judges. Each judge will focus on different elements — creativity, craftsmanship, British originality, and iconic styling. Our favourite is the custom Bonneville Bobber from Italy. If you thought the attention-to-detail in the stock bike was impressive, this one turns it up to eleven, and also rewinds time to an age where grace and elegance were the soul of every machine that man made.
