Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 Ninja 500 at Rs 5,76,000 (ex-showroom). The new model is available in a single Lime Green colour scheme, with bookings open across all Kawasaki dealerships in India. Deliveries will start soon. Here’s what it gets:

Design

2027 Ninja 500

The Ninja 500 gets no visual changes for 2027 and is offered in a single Lime Green colour scheme. It continues with the sharp Ninja design language, with twin LED headlights, a slim tail section and a side-swept exhaust. However, the bike gets halogen turn indicators, which at this price point and in 2026 is a big miss. 

Engine And Gearbox

The Ninja 500 continues to be powered by a 451cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 45 PS and 42.6 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets an Assist and Slipper Clutch for a lighter clutch feel and to help prevent rear-wheel lockup during aggressive downshifts.

The Ninja 500 gets a high-contrast LCD instrument console, with smartphone connectivity offered on the higher-spec version. The safety features include dual-channel ABS as standard.

Underpinnings

2027 Ninja 500

The Ninja 500 gets a lightweight trellis frame, a telescopic fork, and a linked monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels, while braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends

The 2027 Ninja 500 is exactly the same, with no changes whatsoever to its design, engine, underpinnings, or even the price. It offers a comfortable everyday sportbike experience with its relaxed ergonomics, while its engine delivers strong performance that will keep you engaged in the city as well as on twisties. 

However, its rivals like the Aprilia RS 457 offer a more powerful engine, better hardware, and more premium features while being cheaper, which makes the Ninja 500’s case a bit difficult to justify.
