Ather recently launched the Konarc in India, it gets a practical family-scooter design and comes with a host of convenience-focused features. Here are the top 10 highlights of the newly launched electric scooter, explained through some detailed images:

The Ather Konarc comes with a family-oriented design. It gets a simple yet elegant design that should make it quite likeable and appeal to a larger audience, especially family-focused buyers. It also gets a comfortable riding posture and a handlebar-mounted LED headlight, with DRL on the apron, giving the scooter a sleek and modern look.

The Ather Konarc uses a hub motor producing up to 4.7 kW of peak power and 16 Nm. It is offered with multiple battery and range options, with the claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range going up to 200 km on the top-spec variant. As of now, Ather has only announced S range that offers 100 km, 125 km and 161 km ranges respectively.
The Konarc S 100 km has a 2.1 kWh battery pack; the 125 km variant has a 2.7 kWh unit. The 161 km variant has a 3.5 kWh battery, while the battery specs of the top-end 200 km variant are yet to be announced.

The S 100 km variant comes with a 4.2-inch LCD console, while the other three come with a larger 7-inch LCD unit.
The Z range gets a 7-inch TFT display with connectivity features, including Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts, music controls and navigation. It is the Z range which also come with the new keyless ignition system, auto boot release and other new Ather Stack 7.0 features.

The Ather Konarc gets three riding modes: SmartEco, Eco and Power, which alter the scooter’s performance and power delivery according to the selected mode. This allows riders to prioritise efficiency or performance

The scooter gets a 450W onboard charger, which comes with a relatively compact power brick, making it easier to carry and use at home. For faster charging, riders can opt for an additional charger, taking the combined charging capacity up to 900W.

The Ather Konarc gets metallic body panels, which give the scooter a more premium and sturdy feel. The metallic build also gives the scooter an overall good fit and finish.

The S 125 and S 161 variants get adjustable and well-cushioned pillion backrest, which add comfort for pillions who prefer to sit sideways.

The Ather Konarc Z variant gets a Magic Key fob, which enables keyless start for added convenience. It also features a safety function that alerts the rider if the key fob falls out of their pocket, helping them know that they have lost it and locate it.

The AirWalk feature makes it easier to push the scooter in case of a puncture or while moving it around in a parking lot

The Konarc’s mid and top variants allow for a Find My Scooter via Ather’s app, which helps rider to locate their scooter in a large and crowded parking lot.

The Konarc’s mid and top variants get theft alerts and movement alerts, which notify the rider through the Ather app if the scooter is moved unexpectedly.

The Z variant gets an auto-pop feature that opens the boot when a button on the Magic Key is pressed, making it easier to store groceries or other items when your hands are full.
