Triumph Speed 400 FAQs
Speed 400 Key Highlights
Price: Triumph has launched the 350cc Speed 400 in India, priced at Rs 2,31,890, which is Rs 7,110 cheaper than the outgoing 400cc Speed 400.
Design: In terms of design, the Speed 400 remains unchanged. It features the same sculpted fuel tank, round LED headlight, minimalistic bodywork, and a clean, timeless silhouette. The overall look is simple yet premium, giving it a strong road presence despite the compact proportions.
Features: Feature-wise, the Speed 400 comes equipped with an all-LED lighting setup, a semi-digital instrument console, ride-by-wire throttle, and switchable traction control. These features add to the bike’s premium appeal and everyday usability. However, it still misses out on smartphone connectivity, and features like turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts.
Engine: Powering the bike is a 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 37PS and 32Nm. While it is less powerful than the 400cc motor, it is expected to offer a smooth and linear power delivery, making it ideal for city riding as well as relaxed highway cruising.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Underpinnings remain the same as well, and the bike gets an inverted fork and a monoshock at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brake setup, supported by dual-channel ABS.
Rivals: The Triumph Speed 400 rivals motorcycles like the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Z, KTM 390 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Harley Davidson X440.
