BMW Motorrad has rolled out the updated version of the S 1000 R.
For 2023, the motorcycle has received an RDC or tyre pressure monitoring system, which shows real-time pressure to the user. Apart from this, the streetfighter now comes with the ability to turn off the self-cancelling indicators.
What sets it apart from its previous version visually is the new colour scheme. The standard model now gets the Blackstorm Metallic, which gives it an entirely blacked-out look with white lettering on the tank shrouds. This paint scheme comes as a replacement for the Racing Red, which has now been shelved. In addition to this, the Sport package on the bike is now offered in Bluestone Metallic with Black Storm.

Save for these updates, the motorcycle remains unchanged. At its heart is the familiar 999cc, inline-four cylinder engine making 167.2PS and 114Nm. The India-spec bike is priced between Rs 18,30,000 to Rs 22,50,000 (ex-showroom). While the bike has gone on sale internationally, these updates are yet to be announced for India. What BMW does have in store for India is the TVS Apache RR 310-based BMW G 310 RR, which is scheduled to launch on 15th July. Stay tuned for more!
