Price: The Aprilia RS 660 is priced at Rs 17,74,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three colour variants: Racing Black, Acid Gold and Tribute.
Features: The Aprilia RS 660 is equipped with an all-LED lighting setup. It features an LCD instrument console and has a 6-axis IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) with comprehensive APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) electronics package which includes traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control and 5 riding modes (Road and Track, 3 pre-set and 2 customisable modes).
Engine: The RS 660 is powered by a Euro-5 compliant 659cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, putting out 101PS at 10,500rpm and 67Nm at 8,500rpm. It is linked to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch as standard.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Built on an aluminium perimeter frame, it is equipped with a 41mm Kayaba inverted fork (120mm wheel travel) and a monoshock (130mm wheel travel), both with rebound and preload adjustment. In terms of braking, the RS 660 gets 320mm dual discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear with Brembo brake callipers, it also gets 3-level cornering ABS as standard. The sportbike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 120-section tyres at the front and 180-section at the back. It comes with 820mm seat height and weighs 183kg.
Rivals: The Aprilia RS 660 will compete against the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the upcoming Triumph Daytona 660. However, for almost a lakh cheaper, you can get the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R which is a bigger and a lot more powerful bike.
