  • Q. Vento vs Rapid which one is best in pickup
    Zigwheels | 5 months ago

Considering the best pick up among the two here winner would be Skoda Rapid's diesel engine. A diesel motor is a four-cylinder unit that makes 110PS of power and 250Nm of torque. In comparison, Vento has the 1.5-litre diesel engine which pumps 105PS and 250Nm while it is not the most powerful car in its class. There’s not much to dislike about the Skoda sedan. With the facelift, it looks as premium as ever, and packs in more tech. If you feel the Vento is a bit out of reach, pick the Rapid. It’s practically the same package delivered with a smaller pinch to the wallet.Do take the test drive for both the cars in order to judge the ease, comfort and the driving experience.

  • Q. Which is better,Honda City CVT or Vento amt letting to engine performance.
    Zigwheels | 7 months ago

Here Honda City would be a better pick. 1.5-litre petrol engine which generates 119PS of power and 145Nm of torque, mated to a 7-step CVT. The petrol City is among the most fuel-efficient automatic cars in its segment. At 18kmpl, it is about 2kmpl more efficient than the Verna petrol automatic, which has a claimed efficiency of 15.92kmpl. The Honda City facelift has been updated keeping in mind the requirements of the younger generation. The cosmetic changes make it look aggressive and sporty whereas the feature updates make it a better overall package than the current model. The updates will come at a premium with the fully loaded top-end variant shooting above Rs 13 lakh. The City continues to be the most desirable sedan in this lot. It’s got the looks, the tech and more importantly - that oh-so-illustrious ‘H’ badge on the grille. It’s fun to drive, and has enough space to shame cars from a segment above. Looking for a big car experience? Dial H for Honda. We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. Vento petrol is fun to drive...very good...but expensive to maintain approx 15-18k per service per 15000kms, less spacious, looks dated, low ground clearance, low mileage, DSG gearbox is highly unreliable.....

  • Q. Is it very slow on pick up in initial gears?
    Zigwheels | 2 months ago

The Volkswagen Vento is currently available in 3 engine options. A 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine, a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.5 TDI engine. The car has a hold over the power and torque available which makes it a car with no issue. The lag might be felt on the 1.5-litre TDI engine as it is the same offered on the Polo.

  • Q. Which is car is better in performance, mileage, safety 1) Volkswagen Vento diesel automatic 2) Skoda Rapid diesel automatic?
    Krishnanandh | 4 months ago

Yes... both cars are similar in terms of looks, performance and mileage. I drive a 2017 VW Vento 1.6 MPI petrol manual variant. If driven under 60 kmpl in an economic way it gives me about 22 kmpl which is a good figure for a car of its size and under normal conditions i get around 12-15 kmpl. The diesel should give much more mileage but I'm not sure about the automatic variant though.

  • Q. Some people has advised here that the maintenance cost for Vento and parts cost are much higher than others but the real VW oweners shares some different experience. As I will purchase my first car, please advise Vento will be good for me or not?
    Vir | 5 months ago

I have shared my personal experience brother. The engine & monocoque body are not the problem, it is the weak (soft suspension, plastic parts like radiator carriage tray & AC vents that are flimsy. My radiator tray got broken 3 times just by normal use on pot-riddled Indian roads. I had to replace front shock absorbers after just 7 yrs, 57000 km. The car also has low road clearance, so I fitted taller tyres (corolla tyres). The radiator tray with labour costs Rs 10000/- plus each time. Check options from ford or Hyundai, they should be more cost effective. Yes, I'm thankful that the car saved us in an accident just after 5 months in a head on collision with a two wheeler, but the air bags did not deploy. Manufacturer stated that passenger seat belt not being on as the reason. Check my earlier updates also. Take your own decision. Wish you safe travels.

Well the VW is a german brand so high servicing and maintanence cost goes without saying. No if u compare with brands like maruti, hyundai, toyota, -then the price of maintanence Of volkswagen Would be Higher. But if u compare with honda, ford, and skoda then the maintanence cost is approx same.. Same goes for the parts as well.. I also have a vw 2k18 edition -my second vento.. I am very happy with the performance and comfort of the vehicle - youll feel the difference between this beauty and the others right from the enterance-rock sturdy design built for providing comfort and safety...

  • Q. I am confused which car I should go either Vento Highline DSG or Rapid Style DSG. Please suggest in terms of stability and other aspects.
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

There’s not much to dislike about the Skoda sedan. With the facelift, it looks as premium as ever, and packs in more tech. As Vento has started its age, pick the Rapid. It’s practically the same package delivered with a smaller pinch to the wallet. Yes, it’s a tad bit old and could do with some more features, but that build quality does make up for a lot! With the new 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, the Rapid has the potential to be a game changer in the C-segment, especially in big cities where it should now be a popular choice.

  • Q. I m facing issue in injecter of vento..recently i replaced all..should i sell this car or not? Model is 2011..mileage is 96000. How long injector gives good performance?
    Arun | 1 year ago

If it isn't giving you any bother, I'd suggest you retain it. The life of fuel injectors can't be stated definitively since its affected by factors such as the quality of fuel. Getting the injectors cleaned periodically can help extend the life.

  • Q. How is Road girp performance?
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

As for the braking, a robust set of ventilated disc brakes are fitted to its front wheels and the rear ones get sturdy drum brakes. Anti lock braking mechanism is also offered that not only boosts this mechanism but also prevents the vehicle from skidding. Meanwhile, the McPherson strut on front axle and semi-independent trailing arm on the rear one makes your journey in this sedan quite comfortable. This suspension system ensures the ride is smooth no matter how the road conditions are. On the other hand, with a speed sensing electronic power steering column, you can easily take turns besides having good control at both low and high speeds.
