shines bright every where

Thinking about the Volkswagen Taigun. That little SUV is very beautiful. Modern design on the outside makes it fashionable. Very nice looking are the headlamps and front grille. Weekend excursions and city travel are well served by this automobile. Within, the Volkswagen Taigun is very roomy. There are ample of soft chairs for five individuals. Simple and with a touchscreen for music and other functions is the dashboard. The passengers find the back seats pleasant because of the reasonable legroom. Taigun rides smoothly. Driving it is simple, and it handles city streets effectively. Airbags and ABS are two further safety measures of the vehicle. All things considered, young professionals and small families could do well with the Volkswagen Taigun.

Outstanding features

Taigun SUV has extremely cutting edge safety features and it has a very striking front end and this SUV has an excellent interior and excellent performance but some competitors offer more space for the same money.

Volkswagen Taigun: A Joyride with a Few Twists

I recently drove the Volkswagen Taigun on a road trip to Goa and it was quite the joyride. The 1.0L TSI engine delivered a punchy 115 PS, makes overtaking easiest task. The Taigun’s 385 liter trunk easily swallowed our luggage and more. The featurebpacked cabin with a 10 inch infotainment display was a massive hit among my tech savvy friends.Compared to my cousin's Kia Seltos, the Taigun's after sales service felt less efficient and not as friendly, which matters in the long run.

Volkswagen Taigun Pros and Cons

Taigun Positives Points: Punchy petrol engines deliver good performance, comfortable interior for 4 occupants, enjoyable driving experience for enthusiasts, proven crash safety rating of 5/5 stars from Global NCAP

Taigun Negatives Points: Average interior fitment quality, not very fuel-efficient in heavy traffic use

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : While the Taigun may not feel like a step up for Polo owners it still delivers as a well balanced, punchy, and safe compact SUV.

Accelerationpower delivery

4.7

Driven 58000km in 20 months.Acceleration power delivery is linear, Car feels planted at three digit speeds too.The grunt of the tsi engine is absolutely addictive.I own the 1.0 mt, Have never felt the engine to be insufficient except on uphill hairpin curves when in 2nd gear at lower than 1800rpm when there is a need to shift to 1st gear.Driven on a light foot, The vehicle returns great economy.Overall i get around 14-16kmpl with a city-highway usage of 40-60%.Brakingdespite the rear having drums, Braking is quite good.Never had any heart stopping moments so far with braking. But after driving long distances of over 500km at a stretch the brake makes an uncomfortable grinding noise.Vw are yet to determine the cause.I’ve had to replace the brake pads twice so far.Once at 30000km and then again at 45000km.But the second time i think i was made to change it prematurely. Will update after the next service at 60000km.Comfortalbeit a stiffer suspension, Comfort levels are good for most part.Only on very bumpy roads or bad stretches, A more plush ride is missed.Wish vw allowed to increase sidewall width under warranty.I changed tyres at 50000km.Was not very happy with the stock goodyear assurance tripplemax.Went for the ceat securadrive in oem configuration.Dynamicsdespite being a compact suv it is a nimble navigator. You can take corners with confidence.Minimal body roll as well.I absolute love driving the taigun in the ghats. My favourite being mysore-mangalore- goa trips.Overtaking is a breeze with the nice torque band available. The manual transmission makes all of this all the more enjoyable.Eco friendlylessnot as good as an ev, But not as bad as a diesel.Mine being my22 model supports e10 blend petrol, Recommended is ron 95 but minimum of ron 91.I use 91 most of the time except when going on road trips when i use ron 95 petrol (xp95).But from my23 the cars are e20 compatible and also come with an auto stop-start system.Fuel economy as mentioned earlier i’m really happy with the economy.I am a sedate driver most part of the time.In mysore city i get around 13kmpl within city limits.Out on the highway with cruise control set at a comfortable 90kmph i get around 18kmpl with the ac set at 24degrees celsius.Verdicti’ve been a happy customer with the vw taigun so far.Have not had any major issues. But the yellowing of the drls this early was a minor let down. This car will appeal to people looking for a compact suv with good driving dynamics and fuel economy without compromising on safety (gncap 5 star for adult and child safety). But i do agree it’s not as big as the creta or seltos.

Volkswagen Taigun GT

I drove this car and i found it very comfortable and dynamic and easy to control. It has a 1.5 tsi engine and most complete engine which is best under 20 lacs.It is coupled with the 7 speed dsc's lightning quick gearshifts.Taigun gt is a kind of hot hatch moreover a suv. It's handling is quite similar to other volkswagen cars, Body control is tight and is fun to drive.Volkswagen has given a touchscreen in the car and we could use android auto and apple carplay on it as well. The brakes also work vey well.Front brakes are disc brakes while the rear ones are the drum brakes. If we talk about the security and safety system then everyone knows that volkswagen have always proved their worth in it and this time also they have provided 4 airbags, It has 3 point seat belts for all, Electronic differential lock, Brake disc wiping and many more.If we talk about the exterior then it is a compact car and is dashing as well. Now if we look over some of the cons then i would say that this car miss some of the major needed features like different driving modes and sunroof and subwoofer and many more. The after sale service is also a little expensive. There is no 1.5l diesel which is a major disadvantage.Looking over the pros and cons i would say that this the best budget car under 20 lacs.

The car is very comfortable

5.0

I own a taigun 1.0 highline. The car is very comfortable to drive the handling and acceleration is quite good and is very comfortable to drive on highways.Car has its own built in app store to download apps like spotify, Maps, News.Apps.The car gives a good mileage of about 21 to 22 on highway if you drive bt 80 to 100km/h.At city level it depends on how you drive, In case of worst traffic with ac you get a mileage of 8km/h.I will personally advice you to use the map cygnic from app store of vw as it causes constant disturbance while driving on highway. The pickup of car is not at bt 0 to 40km/h as compared to rivals but after that it will easily out accelerate any car of segment and will definitely defeat any car in a drag race. The driver side window doesn't work properly if your car is a 2022 model as there is a fault in all cars of that year but since an update is getting rolled out in all cars so it's no more a problem. The passenger side seats height is bit low as compared to creta.Overall out of 5 stars in this segment i would givehandling :-5 staracceleration:- 3.9 stara/c :- 3 starconfort:-5 starmusic system:- 4 starroad presence :-5 starmilage:- 4 star.

Based on my 5 month experience

4.3

Based on my 5 month experience with the taigun i am convinced that it is a sturdy and refined product. Some of my top features : a) strong body and door (closes with a reassuring thud) b) elegant design, But simple, Both inside and outside c) the video screen is optimal in size and flushed into the dash making it compact yet useful d) the instrument cluster gives all the necessary infoe) the drive is comfortable unless when the road is very bumpy.F) features like the start/ stop are the best and helps cut of the engine while not in use and can help save fuel g) the sports mode gives an extra zip while over taking and in open roads h) ground clearance is good i) the music system, Though unbranded, Is good and has a punch the areas of improvement:a) mileage is average and drops significantly in city drivingb) materials used could have been better in interiorsc) ac is not the best and has to be set at lower temperatures to be effective d) side cams could have been useful.

Taigun highline manual variant -

Taigun highline manual variant - i have completed driving around 600kms and while i find the vehicle very sturdy and true to a vw image, A little caution for intending buyers - this vehicle is overpriced for the features and comforts it offers, Compared to equally good versions from competitors.Add to that the stealthy and unethical manner in which the company is cheating it's buyers by taking away specified features under the excuse of the fine print mentioned in their sales norms where the company grants upon itself the liberty of withdrawing features without specifically informing the confirmed buyer and after having taken full payment.Intending buyers beware.Apart from being overpriced the vehicle has so far performed as expected.

Volkswagen Taigun: Compact Yet Mighty

The Volkswagen Taigun has been my companion for the past few months and it has been an interesting ride. Its compact size coupled with a robust engine makes it a fun car to drive around the city. The interior space is surprisingly generous, offering comfort not just for the driver but all passengers. However, the ride quality on rough Indian roads can be a bit harsh and noise insulation could have been better, to keep the road and traffic noise out. And while the Taigun packs a punch with features, the price point can be a bit steep for the segment it’s in, making potential buyers think twice.
