  • Q. Already, I've booked r15 v3 bu the people are saying that this is harmful for our back & wrist pain. Although I asked for mileage in showroom and people are saying 35 and some other people are saying 42 what is the exact mileage of this bike??

Hi Akash, Mileage depends on many factors. First, analyse the traffic in which you ride your bike. If you live in a rural place facing mild traffic, try to maintain your revs at 3k-5k in all gears and maintain an avg speed of 60. With this formulae you'll easily end up getting a good mileage around 45-50kmpl. Whereas if you live in a city like Chennai and get locked in heavy traffic frequently your mileage will drop drastically. I use it for daily commute maintaining an average speed of 20-25km in city conditions. With heavy up and down shifts and a lot of fuel burning I get a mileage of around 37-38kmpl which actually is very good for a track designed bike in city conditions. Also, this bike has very aggressive seating position which definitely will give you a hell lot of wrist, neck and back pains. But, you'll have to sacrifice them all to own such a beautifully designed beast. The specs it provides for this pricing you are buying it for an absolute bargain.

I got a mileage of 48 in cities and 60 plus in highways and even more when drove in economy, that is 70 - 80 km/hr. Seating is not a big deal if you learn to sit on the machine. The only thing is where to grip and how to hold on to your bike. You will come to know about the same in a week or see youtube video how to sit of v3. It is really comfortable for long rides too.

  • Q. MT-15 vs R15 V3, which is great mileage bike?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 5 months ago

Both the bikes have the ARAI claimed mileage of 48 kmpl. Moreover, the actual mileage figure differs due to the following factors road conditions and the riding style. Therefore the selection over here completely depends on one's choice and preference. If you are looking for a dynamically competent bike that you’d like to hone your riding skills on and don't mind the committed riding position, the Yamaha R15 v 3.0 is the one to go for. It's a bike we'd love to have in our garage but its ergonomics limit its practicality. On the other hand, the MT distinctly feels lower-spec compared to the R15, especially when you consider the more basic swingarm and the inclusion of just single-channel ABS rather than dual-channel. It's a good urban motorcycle, and definitely more comfortable than the R15 on a daily basis. Do take the test ride of the bikes in order to pick the best one matching your needs and requirements.

That depends on your riding style. Most people say MT gives better mileage because its cruising speed is 90-110 and r15 v3 cruising speed is 100 -130 . R15 v3 is designed for top end performance so if you are riding in top end you will definitely get less mileage but MT is designed for low and mid end so most of the people ride it in that range so they get more mileage. If you ride R15 v3 in 60 or 70 then you can get same mileage as MT15. It all depends on how you ride the bike and how you maintain it. If you don't follow engine break period then chances are your bike will get less mileage than others. I hope this answers was helpful

  • Q. Gixxer SF or R15 V3, which is best?? & what is the mileage of R15?
    Dannie
    Dannie | 11 months ago

It depends upon the user , If you are a kind of person who looks for performance , extraordinary styling sports bike ,with good mileage then you have to pick r15 v3 . If you are a kind of person looking for a decent family bike which should be sporty and should have a decent mileage , then go for Gixxer SF . Personally my pick would be r15 v3 though it costs more than sf , it's an awesome bike for youths . I'm getting a mileage of 40-44 in city and somewhere close to 50 on highways with a average speed of 80-100 kmph

  • Q. Acceleration from 0 to 60 timing, top speed and also average when driven at a moderate speed between 60-80 kmph - R15 V3?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 12 months ago

It hasn't been disclosed yet. Although, in road test its outright acceleration is quite impressive, with 60kmph coming up in just 3.40 seconds, which is quicker than almost all the 200s. The run to 100kmph is dispensed off in 11.42 seconds, which is right up there with larger capacity bikes too. In-gear acceleration was equally impressive, either matching or surpassing the times set by bigger 200cc motorcycles in our tests. The R15 V3.0 did 30-70kmph in third gear in 5.71 seconds, whereas it took 6.65 seconds for the 40-80kmph jaunt in fourth gear. The 6-speed transmission is precise with not a single instance of false neutral in our time with the bike.

So far the top speed which I clocked was 145 kmph ... I did 139 kmph on 5 gear and after shifting to 6 gear the bike was capable of pulling above 145 kmph but because of wet roads I was about to slow down ...

  • Q. Yamaha R15 V3 ki performance kaisi hai aur average Kya hai?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

We rode the new R15 v3.0 on both the racetrack and in the real world. While the R15 has grown larger and more powerful, it needs a certain level of expertise to tame. The more committed ergonomics make for an uncomfortable ride in the city. If you are looking for a dynamically competent bike that you’d like to hone your riding skills on and don't mind the committed riding position, the Yamaha R15 v 3.0 is the one to go for. It's a bike we'd love to have in our garage but its ergonomics limit its practicality. That's the reason it can not be our primary everyday bike.
