The Suzuki Hayabusa is arguably one of the most modification-friendly motorcycles out there. Moreover, the 2021 ‘Busa is here too, which has got all the enthusiasts buzzing with excitement. And now, famed Slovenian performance exhaust manufacturer, Akrapovic, has joined the party, introducing the new Slip-on Line Titanium exhaust system for the 2021 Hayabusa.
As the name suggests, it is a plug-and-play product with no need for ECU remapping. The outer shell of this aerodynamically optimised exhaust system is made of black-coated titanium. The link pipes are crafted from high-grade stainless steel. Topping things off are the end cap and heat shields made from carbon fibre. With these exotic materials, Akrapovic has managed to keep the weight at 8.4kg, shaving 3.9kg off the stock unit. You can check out how the exhaust system sounds on Akrapovic’s official website.

Like any true Akrapovic exhaust, this one adds a dyno-tested 1.63PS at 8,700rpm and 1.9Nm at 8,400rpm. For reference, the stock ‘Busa makes 190PS at 9700rpm and 150Nm at 7000rpm. More importantly, Akrapovic says the exhaust system features a catalytic converter within each muffler, helping it comply with the stringent Euro 5 emission norms. The Akrapovic Slip-on Line Titanium exhaust system costs Rs 2,85,000 in India. There are two authorised distributors: Performance Racing in Mumbai and Motopoto LLP in Delhi.
For hardcore track junkies, Akrapovic is selling full-system track-only 4-into-1 Titanium exhaust for the 2021 Hayabusa. At just 6.5kg, it is 68.2 percent lighter than the stock unit, offering an extra 8.83PS at 9,900rpm and 5.7Nm at 8000rpm (dyno tested). This one’s priced at Rs 2,03,000 (both prices inclusive of GST) but is not road-legal, though.
