Suzuki Motorcycles has recalled its naked Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 over engine vibration-related issues. As many as 199 units, manufactured from August 12, 2019, to March 21, 2021, have been affected, and hence, called back.
Elaborating on the issue, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) stated that the overly engine vibes were a result of the misalignment of the balancer drive gear. If left undetected, it could damage two of the six lugs used to mount the tail light.
However, the report clarifies that the glitch won’t hamper the functionality of the tail lamp in any way. If your bike has been affected, we recommend you take it to the nearest service centre and get it repaired.
A similar episode panned out last month when Honda also had to recall the H’ness CB350. You can head here and read the full story.
