From globe-trotting ADV to retro beauties, we really wish these 5 two-wheelers to make their way to India

Top 5 Bikes We’d Love to See in India in 2026

While 2025 had its fair share of exciting launches, riders already have their eyes set on what could be next year’s most compelling additions. However, there are some bikes that we really, really wish were launched here in 2026. Here’s our wishlist:

Yamaha Ténéré 700

Yamaha Ténéré 700

While the chances of the Yamaha Ténéré 700 launching here are pretty slim, it is one ADV that we really, really wish made its way here. Powered by a 689cc parallel-twin engine, this middleweight ADV combines a rugged off-road stance with long-travel suspension and capable hardware suited for both highways and rough trails. It has a simple yet purposeful design and was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. Blame us for watching all those physics-defying videos of Pol Tarres aboard this mean machine.

Honda CB500 Super Four

Honda CB500 Super Four

Honda’s newly unveiled CB500 Super Four represents a return of the inline-four engine in a middleweight roadster platform, reviving a classic format in a modern package. Revealed alongside its CBR-style sibling at the CIMAMotor show (China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition), it uses a 502cc inline-four motor and includes features like ride-by-wire and selectable torque control. While Honda is never launching this beaut here, its global debut has stirred interest among enthusiasts who want a smooth, revvy four-cylinder bike in the 500cc class. But well, the closest thing we got here is the e-clutch-equipped Honda CB650R.

Italjet Dragster

Italjet Dragster

Though not a traditional motorcycle, the Italjet Dragster deserves mention as a wild card for 2026. Known for its unusual exposed trellis frame and independent front suspension, the Dragster blurs the line between a scooter and a sportbike. Available overseas, we wish the brand would launch it in India, considering the market for larger-capacity scooters has grown exponentially in 2025. With a very distinct style, the Dragster will definitely draw attention wherever it goes.

Kawasaki KLE500

Kawasaki KLE500

The Kawasaki KLE500 is on the wish list primarily because it fills a niche between smaller ADV bikes and larger ones from the green Japanese brand. Already launched abroad with a 451cc twin that shares its heart with the Ninja 500 family, the KLE500 offers a mix of on-road comfort and light off-road capability that could appeal to Indian riders looking for a Japanese substitute for the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Yamaha XSR900GP

Yamaha XSR900GP

Another Yamaha that we dearly wish should launch in India is the XSR900GP, a retro-inspired take on the performance-oriented MT-09 platform. The idea of a neo-retro sport bike with a lively 847cc triple engine, classic round headlight and jaw-dropping styling has enthusiasts drooling over it worldwide. If Yamaha were to launch this gorgeous machine here, it would sell like hot cakes.
