2025 has already proven to be quite an exciting year for two-wheeler enthusiasts, with an impressive lineup of launches including almost everything from sporty streetfighters to tech-loaded electric scooters and everything in between. Those with deep pockets and sky-high aspirations have a lot to look forward to before the year ends. Here’s a list of the bike bike launches expected in India this year:
A few months back Harley-Davidson introduced its 2025 line-up in India in which the pricing for existing models were revised, Harley saved the best for last: the CVO range. Harley’s Custom Vehicle Operations lineup has two models: Street Glide and Road Glide. They’re both souped-up versions of their respective ‘standard’ bikes, which already come with all sorts of bells and whistles.

Both bikes get exclusive, shiny colour schemes, fancier wheels, more premium suspension and brakes, and more importantly, a bigger 1982cc V-twin with Variable Valve Timing making 8.2PS and 8Nm more, at 116.9PS and 183Nm. Oh, there’s a new set of Rockford Fosgate Stage II speaker system, Skyline OS for the huge 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, among others. The Street Glide comes with a fork-mounted Batwing fairing whereas the Road Glide gets a frame-mounted Shark Nose fairing. Both are capable baggers that can munch miles on end without breaking a sweat (provided the roads are ultra smooth). As with any CVO bike, they’re expected to command an apartment-rivalling price, somewhere north of Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom) for both. Expect them to be launched in a month or two.
Yamaha stole the spotlight at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo (formerly known as Auto Expo 2025) with the unveiling of the stunning YZF-R7. It is a bike that blends everyday rideability with supersport DNA. Inspired by the legendary R1 and R6, the R7 packs a punchy 689cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 73PS and 67Nm. There is a 6-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch and optional quick-shifter that will help in super fast and smooth shifts.

Like any modern faired bike worth its salt, this one gets a fully adjustable KYB suspension, dual front discs with ABS, and a 5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity. It is expected to be launched in India by October 2025, and the price is estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It won’t be a hardcore streetlegal track tamer like the Yamaha R1 or the R6, but will be a relatively forgiving supersport that can do both street rides and the occasional track or ghat runs.
Yamaha also unveiled its powerful naked motorcycle at the Auto Expo 2025, MT09. It was unveiled with a 890cc inline three cylinder engine making an impressive 119PS, backed by a six-axis IMU to help you handle all those horses with ease. These advanced rider aids, a TFT console with smartphone connectivity, and aggressive styling surely makes the MT09 a motorcycle worth waiting for.

The other street naked which can be expected from Yamaha is the MT07. This one retains the same 689cc parallel-twin engine as the YZF-R7, but it gets ride-by-wire throttle along with multiple ride modes. Other features include a switchable traction control and even a cruise control, making it both thrilling and practical.
The 2025 model gets a sharper LED fascia, fully adjustable suspension and SpinForged (a manufacturing process that’s a combination of casting and forging) wheels which give it an even more sportier edge. That said, the MT09 is expected to be launched in India by around November 2025 at a price of around Rs 12 lakh, while the smaller MT07 is expected to be launched in October 2025 at a price of around Rs 7.50 lakh (both ex-showroom). It’s reported that all the aforementioned Yamaha big bikes are currently being homologated to run on E20 fuel, so expect them to hit the streets once the brand sorts out the fuel compatibility.

BMW Motorrad launched the R 1300 R in the US and other developed markets earlier this year, so it’s only a matter of time until the Bavarian bikemaker brings this motorcycle to our shores. The brand should launch the bike towards the end of the year, probably around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
The BMW R 1300 R is essentially a streetfighter derivation of the iconic BMW R 1300 GS, so it’s leaner, meaner than the ADV, while being more easy-going than the BMW S 1000 R. Apart from the punchy, ahem….boxer engine that makes 145PS and 149Nm, it also comes with a few useful (optional) goodies including a shift assistant for clutchless shifts, radar-based cruise control, collision warning systems, among others.

The iconic Norton V4 is expected to get a full makeover —this time under the watch of TVS. In fact, TVS’ CEO Sudarshan Venu was seen taking the prototype for a spin in the UK. Lots of changes are expected, including high-end Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, tons of complex rider aids, and a heavily reworked 1200cc V4 engine. Redesigned from the ground up, this is going to be more than a comeback, it is going to be Norton’s bold re-entry into the international superbike market. The bike will be unveiled at this year’s EICMA show in November, followed by an India launch possibly early next year.

The new-gen iteration of Ducati’s fan-favourite, the Monster 900 is also expected to debut at this year’s EICMA. It was in fact spotted testing in May this year, and appeared to be powered 890cc L-twin engine with DOHC camshafts replacing the expensive-to-service Desmodromic valves. The engine’s good for a healthy 120PS, and the bike’s frame has also been tweaked, along with a reworked bodywork, exhausts and wheels.

All in all, the upcoming Monster 900 is expected to offer a solid mix of old-school Italian charm and modern, reliable performance - all wrapped up in a (hopefully) competitive price tag. It could make its way to India by mid-2026.
