Mahindra Thar ROXX

The Mahindra Thar Roxx has arrived at dealerships across the country. Test drives will be available from September 14 onwards, while bookings and deliveries will begin from October 3 and October 12, respectively. The Thar Roxx is priced from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the RWD variants and pricing of the four-wheel drive variants is expected to be announced soon.

Mahindra Thar ROXX Key Highlights

Features: The 5 door Mahindra Thar Roxx offers premium features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless phone charger, keyless entry, cruise control, and ventilated front seats. In terms of safety, it gets a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-descent control, front and rear parking sensors, and ADAS features.

Engine: The Mahindra Thar Roxx is offered with two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel. Both engines get the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 2-litre turbo petrol produces 162 PS/ 330 Nm with the manual and 177 PS/ 380 Nm with the automatic. The diesel is available in two tunes: a lower tune which produces 152 PS and 330 Nm and a higher tune which is available only with the automatic and makes 175 PS and 350 Nm. The four-wheel drive can only be had with the 2.2-litre diesel powertrain. The Thar Roxx measures 4,428mm in length, 1870mm in width, and 1923mm in height. It sits on a 2850mm wheelbase.

Rivals: The Mahindra Thar Roxx’s immediate rival is the Force Gurkha 5-door. It also competes with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
