Royal Enfield has officially announced the 22nd edition of the Himalayan Odyssey, and this year’s ride is set to be extra special as it coincides with the brand’s 125th anniversary celebrations. Registrations for the 2026 edition are now live, and for the first time ever, riders will get to choose from four different Himalayan routes depending on their riding style and experience level.
For 2026, the Himalayan Odyssey has been split into four separate circuits: Original Odyssey, Explore Circuit, Kargil Circuit, and Nubra Circuit. Each one has been curated to offer a unique riding experience across Ladakh and the Himalayas.

The flagship Original Odyssey will take place from June 25 to July 10. This 16-day expedition starts and ends in Chandigarh, covering Himachal Pradesh, Zanskar, and Ladakh along the way. Riders will tackle high-altitude mountain passes and some of the toughest terrain in the country, making it the most hardcore route of the lot.
Then there’s the Himalayan Odyssey Explore, scheduled from June 26 to July 5. Unlike the standard ride, this one is aimed at more experienced tourers who prefer a raw and self-supported adventure. Participants will carry their own luggage and ride with minimal support, making it ideal for those who enjoy long-distance touring in its purest form.
Royal Enfield has also added two shorter and more relaxed routes this year: the Kargil Circuit and the Nubra Circuit. Both rides will begin from Leh and run between June 29 and July 5.

Instead of focusing purely on endurance riding, these circuits are designed around local culture, scenic landscapes, and regional history. These should appeal to riders who want to soak in the Himalayan experience at a slower pace rather than chasing kilometres every day.
The Himalayan Odyssey first started back in 1997 and has gone on to become one of the most iconic motorcycle expeditions in the country. Over the years, it has attracted riders from across India and even abroad.
That said, the ride is anything but easy. High altitudes, unpredictable weather, freezing temperatures, and low oxygen levels make it physically demanding. But despite all the challenges, riding through Ladakh and the Himalayas on a motorcycle remains a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most enthusiasts.
