Royal Enfield has officially announced the Moroccan Odyssey 2026, its first-ever brand ride held outside India. Scheduled from March 27 to April 4, 2026, this 12-day expedition will cover close to 2,000km across Morocco’s wildly diverse landscapes, and registrations are now open. Every participant will ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – a bike perfect for this kind of terrain-hopping adventure.
The journey begins in the ‘Red City’ of Marrakech, before riders climb into the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass – perched at 2,260 metres. From there, the landscape shifts toward the city of Ouarzazate, also called ‘Door of the Desert’. It eventually gives way to the towering golden dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. It’s a transition from frantically twisting mountain tarmac to the deep silence of the desert in just a few riding days.

Turning north, the route cuts through the cooler, forested stretches of the Middle Atlas, rolling into the historic city of Fes – Morocco’s spiritual, cultural, and artisan capital. Riders then snake through the blue-washed charm of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains before the final run west to the capital city of Rabat, where the Atlantic coastline marks the end of the odyssey.

This is something I experienced first hand at the 2025 Royal Enfield Tour Of Sikkim. Now with the Moroccan Odyssey, the brand extends that philosophy onto a global stage, using North Africa’s raw geography as the proving ground.

As Royal Enfield celebrates 125 years since its inception, this new Odyssey signals a broader vision: taking its community-driven adventures to landscapes far beyond the Himalayas, while keeping the spirit of exploration firmly at the core.
