In order to get better fuel efficiency returns from your car, there are some points that you can keep in mind while riding such as keeping a check on tyre air pressure, timely service your car, maintain proper gear to RPM ratio, do not accelerate the car unnecessarily, ride your car at economical speeds, etc.

I am facing same problem with Tata Tigor AMT, going for mileage testing this weekend. The car is serviced regularly, typre pressures are checked weekly, mild speeds during city drive. I have seen mileage drop from 12.5kmpl to 8 kmpl now. Dilip's answer is not at all helpful

Tata Tigor is such a marvellous car model that has become so popular these days for its convenience and smooth operation. So many people have this car on their wishlists and so did I and that is why I went to purchase this as soon as it was launched.

  • Tata Tigor: A Daily Driver's Take

Having owned the Tata Tigor for over six months I have grown quite fond of this compact sedan. The Tigor is powered by a 1.2 liter Revotron petrol engine producing 85 bhp and 113 Nm of torque paired with a smooth 5 speed manual or AMT gearbox providing a well balanced mix of performance and fuel efficiency..However the Tigor is not without its quirks. The engine can feel a bit underpowered when fully loaded and overtaking on highways needs some planning. Despite these points the Tigor holds up as a practical choice for those searching a no frills reliable sedan.

  • A Practical Choice with Quirks

The day I brought the Tata Tigor home I knew I was investing in practicality wrapped in an elegant design. Priced attractively with variants expand from ₹5.75 lakh to ₹7.49 lakh the Tigor positioned itself as a value for money option for someone needing a compact sedan with sufficient boot space and a comfortable ride. The spacious interiors and the 419 liter boot capacity were perfect for family outings. Additionally the infotainment system slow and the average quality of interior plastics were disappointing. However its safety features including dual airbags and ABS with EBD provided peace of mind.

  • Driving tigor

I have been driving tigor since 3 years. And not gonna lie i have driven other cars too but the experience in pickup and acceleration of tata tigor is unmatched. The foot pads atleast for me have to be comfortable and with the comparison of maruti's car i found tata has a better comfort in that.As the car is in heavier side and due to that it has 4 star of safety rating so one can drive it without any hesitation. The mileage of the car is in between 15 to 19 kmpl depending on the situation it can go upto 20.3 kmpl.My suggestion would be don't buy car to save little amount money from petrol but buy a car to be safe while driving.Your life is more worthy than any other things.I hope you it helpful.
