I own a triber and travelled to more than 7 hill stations in kerala and tamil nadu with seven adult passengers and some baggages. I didnt remember a single power lag or underpower in each hairpins, steep offroads etc. Not only that i usually put my ac on. This is dual vvt energy engine which generates maximum power even in lower rpms. Not like delicate wagon r K10 b 1000cc engine for the purpose of mileage adding fragile weightless body. That is why triber acquired 4 stars in Global NCAP crash safety tests while swift and wagon got mere 2 stars!!!!. Renault company knows well about the engine required for adequate pickup for a car with full load occupancy. Also it has roaring power and speed in highways. Omni 800, eeco, maruti 800, nano climbed hills easily then why cant triber with energy engine with more bhp and torque do??? This is blind believers especially maruti outdated tradition guys spreading negative information that triber is underpowered. Triber costs only 6 lakhs base model on road but ertiga 12 lakhs and innova 22. If you want racing speed just go for ferrari or lamborgini or a Jcb and tractor for awesome pickup. Thats why with its safety, awesome looks, adequate pickup and mileage ultra spacious 7 seats car sold 80000++ units in just one and a half years. Plz don't go for confusing over opinions and negatives who had not even done a single test drive yet!!!! I love my 12 th practical car Triber

There is some problem I have Xl6 if you drive on 90 km Per hour on highway it will give you 19 km but in city with heavy traffic it will give you 10-11 km mileage

For XL6, all models have cruise control. There is no option for sunroof in any of the XL6 models. The only 7 seater SUV with both cruise control and sunroof and under 20 lakh price is Mahindra XUV 500.

I have also searched the middle row additional fitting seat. It is very simple. But, for seating 3 peoples it is not so convenient as the original bench seat. But, we must note one think. Even in Innova car there are many options as 6 seater, 7 seater, 8 seater in the same vehicle and we can purchase as we like. Innova is more luxuries than XL6. But, they provided the option for seating, but why not in XL6.Also, XL6 and Ertiga are different appearance. If the customer like the XL6 they can't purchase Ertiga. So, 7 seater in XL6 is must

Bench seat should be provided in XL6 as an option otherwise one seat less feels like being thugged. Comparably, Ertiga doesnt have features like DRL, led lights, Cruise Control etc which is provided even in cars costing Rs.5 lakhs.

Q. Is there any option to increase tyre size of Maruti Suzuki XL6 to 205/65/17?

I took delivery of my XL6 in late August this year, and the very first change that I had wanted to do on my car was to upgrade those tiny 15-inch wheels to new 16-inch alloys. However, Maruti was firm in informing me that my car’s warranty will be void if I upgrade the alloys to 16-inch. Therefore, I changed the tyres from R15 185/65 to R15 195/65, which added 10 mm height to my car. The new tyres are Bridgestone Turanza, which are very quiet.

I had my XL6 alpha Automatic for last four months. Upon maintaining tyre pressure 29 psi I found car suspension is good with 4 or less people ride. But I feel stearing control little slow while turning the vehicle. Advice me how to improve. Can I follow your tyre upgrade to 195?

R185 and 195 I guess have no difference in diameter of tyre but width of the tyre. It shouldn't increase the height of car, afaik

Q. Can you increase the tyre of Maruti Suzuki XL6 to 16 inches without any complications?

I have an old SX4 ZXi that has OEM 16-inch alloys. I replaced my XL6 Alpha OEM 15-inch alloys with the larger wheels from my SX4, and then ran the XL6 for couple of days. There were no issues at all. However, Maruti informed me that upsizing the OEM 15-inch alloys will invalidate the XL6 warranty. So I had to revert back to those tiny 15-inch alloys. This is Maruti’s biggest blunder with otherwise good XL6.

Oh! Pained to hear you had to go back to R15. Not sure if your Maruti Nexa people gave you the right advise on this. I am being advised that only changes to electronics such as adding rear view camera or some other electronic add ons will invalidate the warranty.
