The diesel variant of the new generation Innova Crysta went on sale back in May 2016 with 2 engine options. Prior to that, Toyota announced that the Innova Crysta petrol will also make its debut this year. Toyota dealerships are now taking bookings for the petrol variant.
There are two diesel engines on offer for the Innova Crysta. For customers who want the petrol variant, there is only one engine available. It a 4-cylinder 2.7-litre engine producing 166PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. This engine comes from the previous generation Innova petrol which was sold in the international market like the Middle East, where it was tuned to produce 158PS of power. But the motor is now equipped with Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) technology which makes the engine more refined.
Apart from the new engine, the petrol powered Innova Crysta borrows the equipment list from the diesel variant. The options list is bifurcated variant wise and given below.
