BMW’S Flagship GS Adventure Tourer Gets New Retro Colours

The new liveries first featured on the smaller F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 Adventure

The BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure are now a part of the ‘40 Years of GS’ celebrations and have received a new livery and features to show for it. BMW had already launched the new liveries on the smaller F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 Adventure. The larger GS Adventure models now get a special black and yellow livery replete with a yellow tinted visor, yellow seat, engine guard and golden wheel rims. It is also available in BMW’s unique Rallye livery as well as black and white paint options.

BMW now offers adaptive LED headlamp as an option for the GS. It features a low beam that swivels on turns and lights up corners. The standard feature list includes Dynamic Traction Control and Integral ABS Pro (cornering ABS) as well as an Eco riding mode. Hill start control is available as an option.

The bikes use an Euro 5/ BS5-compliant 1254cc boxer motor with ShiftCam tech. It delivers 136PS and 143Nm to the rear wheel via a shaft drive. Both continue to use BMW’s telelever and paralever suspension setup with 19-inch front and 17-inch spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres.

The BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure are available in India,priced at Rs 20.05 lakh and Rs 21.95 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new ‘40 Years of GS’ edition bike to be available in India soon.
