The Volkswagen Taigun’s Introductory Pricing Comes To An End

Introductory prices for Volkswagen's compact SUV, the Taigun, have come to an end, as prices of all variants have been increased by Rs 5,200. The SUV now starts from Rs 10.54 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). Take a look at the revised variant-wise price list:

The Taigun has put back Volkswagen on the radar, having racked up over 18,000 bookings since launch. It’s a petrol-only offering and can be had with either a 115PS 1-litre three-cylinder or a 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Volkswagen’s compact SUV locks horns with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor/Hector, and select 5-seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700. The carmaker is expected to take the wraps off the VW Vento’s successor, likely to be called the Virtus, in 2022.
