Royal Enfield has launched yet another special edition of the Classic 350, called the Gorkha Edition. This edition pays tribute to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. Here are the top highlights of this all-new edition:

The most significant change on the new Gorkha Edition is its matte military green paint scheme. This colour surely gives the motorcycle a rugged appearance that sets it apart from the standard colour options. The side panels feature a 'Gorkha Edition' sticker, accompanied by the iconic crossed Khukri symbol, which is the traditional weapon of the Gorkha Battalion. This badging is the centrepiece of the tribute. Other than this, Royal Enfield has retained the chrome-finished engine casings, exhaust, and wired spoke wheels with tubed tyres, creating a look that blends classic cruiser elements with military heritage.

Mechanically, this special edition is identical to the standard Classic 350. It uses the same 349cc, single-cylinder J-series engine, so the specifications remain unchanged. The bike is more of a cosmetic exercise, not a performance upgrade. It does, however, come equipped with the recently introduced slip-and-assist clutch, which helps lighten the clutch feel, and prevents rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is priced at Rs 2,10,684 (ex-showroom). This positions it as a premium variant within the Classic 350 lineup, reflecting its special-edition status and unique paintwork. The company has confirmed that bookings for the motorcycle have started across all its dealerships in the country.

The Gorkha Edition isn't aimed at riders seeking more power or features. Instead, its appeal lies with enthusiasts who value heritage and a distinctive aesthetic. The tribute to the Gorkha Regiment provides a strong narrative for buyers connected to the armed forces or those who appreciate military-themed motorcycles. It offers a unique visual identity straight from the factory, which matters more to its target audience than any mechanical novelty. For new buyers, it’s a chance to own a more exclusive version of a very popular motorcycle.
