Quick Highlights:
Features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup
Long-travel suspension appears to be used at both ends
Engine specifications and launch timeline remain unknown
Hero MotoCorp seems to be preparing another dual-sport motorcycle. The manufacturer has filed a patent for a motorcycle with a distinctly adventure-oriented design and hardware. While the patent offers a good look at the motorcycle’s overall layout, details such as its engine capacity, specifications and launch timeline have not been revealed yet.

The motorcycle appears to use a 19-inch front wheel paired with a 17-inch rear wheel, both of which feature spoke rims. This setup was also seen on the now-discontinued Hero Impulse and is well suited to a motorcycle intended to tackle a mix of road and off-road terrain.
Suspension duties seem to be handled by a conventional telescopic fork and a monoshock. The fork gets protective gaiters, while the overall suspension setup appears to offer substantial travel.
The design is fairly sharp, with a slim body and an angular front section. The headlight sits inside a compact cowl and is flanked by LED indicators, while the sculpted tank extensions give the motorcycle a more aggressive appearance.

Unlike some adventure motorcycles, the side panels are relatively compact, leaving much of the mechanical hardware exposed. At the back, there is a large luggage rack, suggesting Hero could be targeting riders who want a motorcycle that can also handle touring duties.
The patent images indicate that the motorcycle will be powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder engine. There are visible cooling fins on the cylinder, but no obvious oil cooler. The exhaust system is positioned along the right side and its routing bears some resemblance to the setup used on the Hero Xpulse 200 4V.
Hero has not revealed the engine displacement yet. Given the motorcycle’s dimensions and intended use, a sub-200cc motor seems likely in the current market. Considering Hero already has the Xpulse 200 4V and the Xpulse 210, a smaller engine makes more sense in order to cater to beginners looking for a friendly and frugal adventure bike.

It is too early to say whether this motorcycle is intended to replace the Xpulse 200 4V or sit below it as a separate model. For now, the patent only confirms that Hero is exploring another dual-sport motorcycle (a proper successor to the discontinued Impluse).
More information regarding its engine, positioning and production plans is expected to emerge if Hero decides to take the motorcycle into production.
