The festive season couldn’t have started better for Royal Enfield. The company sold 1,24,328 motorcycles in September 2025, marking its highest monthly sales in history! To give you a scale of this number, it’s a sharp 43% jump over the 86,978 units sold in the same month last year.
Much of this momentum can be traced back to the new GST 2.0 norms, which came into effect on September 22, 2025. With tax rates for motorcycles under 350cc dropping from 28% to 18%, Royal Enfield, already dominant in that space, must’ve witnessed an immediate surge in demand towards the end of the month. Domestic sales accounted for 1,13,573 units, while 10,755 motorcycles were exported, up from 7,653 in September 2024.
Still the heart of Royal Enfield’s portfolio, the Classic 350 continues to be the brand’s strongest pillar. Its retro design and familiar thump clearly haven’t lost their charm, and the addition of the Goan Classic 350, with its coastal-inspired aesthetic, has kept the nameplate fresh. For many buyers, it remains the default “first premium bike,” and these numbers are its true testimony.

The Bullet 350 remains the brand’s most recognisable silhouette on Indian roads. The updated model’s refinements haven’t altered its essential identity; it’s still the same simple, torquey, easy-going single-cylinder motorcycle. With the GST drop pulling prices down even further, it’s no surprise to see the Bullet holding firm near the top.

Compact, approachable and designed for first-time & urban riders, the Hunter 350 has cemented its place among Royal Enfield’s top performers. It’s the most youth-oriented motorcycle in the lineup, appealing to those who want something lighter and more manageable without losing that RE charm. Its consistent numbers suggest that it’s now a permanent fixture in this list. More importantly, it’s not only the cheapest Royal Enfield bike in India, but it has also got even cheaper with the GST 2.0 norms.

The Meteor 350’s steady sales climb continues, helped by its recent update that added new colours and minor tweaks while also dropping prices slightly. Its cruiser-friendly ergonomics and highway manners make it a comfortable middle ground for those moving up from smaller commuters. It might not make headlines every month, but it quietly keeps Royal Enfield’s 350cc engine ticking in steady volumes.

Here’s the surprise! The Himalayan 450 has broken into the top five, overtaking the 650 twins. The adventure bike’s performance-focused Sherpa 450 engine and long-distance ability have helped it gain traction, especially among touring enthusiasts. We reckon the surge in demand before the September 22 deadline would’ve worked in its favour as the bike got more expensive from the 22nd last month as its GST rate went up from 28% + 3% cess to a flat 40% under GST 2.0.

Between April and September 2025, Royal Enfield sold 5,91,903 motorcycles, up 30% year-on-year. The mix of refreshed models, improved production timelines, and the GST benefit has all contributed to this growth. With the festive quarter still underway, Royal Enfield’s momentum shows no signs of slowing, but the real test will be whether this spike sustains once the tax relief and festival buzz settle. But then again, the brand will continue grabbing headlines with the India unveils of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 and the Continental GT 750 at MotoVerse in November.
