I own tata altroz disel and
I own tata altroz diesel and i can say if you want a car with high speed stability and great driving dynamics and torque of a diesel engine is a good to go car! won't say much about average on highway you can expect around 20-24 according to your driving behaviour but in city you can get 12-18 which is low as compared to diesel engine.Tbh i didn't face any issues on anything except cruise control switch and mileage this is the best and only premium diesel hatchback selling in the market.Still i am waiting for ecu updates to get desired mileage in city!.

Infotainment touchscreen
I can say with confidence that the tata altroz is an amazing car because i use it regularly. The altroz is great for city driving, With its tiny dimensions making it easy to drive through traffic and park in tight areas. The altroz's interior is elegantly decorated, Comfortable, And equipped with plenty of amenities like an infotainment touchscreen and automatic climate control.Excellent ride quality and good highway and city road handling characterise the altroz. The lack of rear legroom is a minor drawback that might make it uncomfortable for taller passengers.I'm quite happy with my altroz overall.

On the other hand, Tata Punch is good for city commutes but out on the highway, it lacks outright power which stops it from being versatile. Other than that it is hard to flaw this impressive car. - I too wanted to add 360 degree camera in my ALTROZ XZ+ iTURBO. So, I asked in the showroom if I could do that as there were spaces where I can add the camera and I thought I could borrow the software from harrier or safari , to which I came to know that none of the TATA cars are equipped with 360 camera as of now. So, if you want to add you you can but it won't be genuine. I would suggest you to wait for updated altroz in the future, and then you could install it genuinely.

- Selecting between the Maruti Ertiga and Tata Altroz would depend on certain factors such as your preference of the brand, usage, cabin space, fuel type, etc. The Ertiga seemingly does it all. But you will buy it more because you need it rather than want it. It doesn't have any glaring faults but it could also be a lot better. Maruti Ertiga is offered a single BS6-compliant petrol engine. The 1.5-liter motor produces 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. It is paired with a 12-volt Smart Hybrid mild-hybrid system. On the other hand, the Altroz comes with a well-appointed cabin and is one of the best-looking premium hatchbacks in the market. It also rides and handles well, making it quite a fun hatchback to drive. Just like the Nexon, Tata’s premium hatchback prioritizes safety with a full five-star rating in the Global NCAP safety tests. While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. - You may go for a big sized tyre but upsizing the size of a tyre is increasingly becoming an obsession with people to create an added visual appeal to their car. Moreover, It is advisable to go for an upgrade anywhere between the 3% margin for better performance and handling, increased grip and creating a visual appeal. Do take note that upsizing the wheels and tyres may decrease the fuel efficiency of the car and may result in a speedometer error on the car if upsizing is not correct. So, we would recommend you to go for a 205/60 sized tyre for better performance.

- Don't know
- We wouldn't recommend you upsizing the tyre because of some factors such as reduced fuel economy, heavier steering feel, bumpy ride quality, damage to wheel arches.
- Tata Altroz is powered by a 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol. Tata Altroz, petrol engine feels crude to push and the three-cylinder clatter remains present throughout the rev band. The refinement doesn't feel anywhere close to what the segment has to offer. The power delivery is liner and smooth. This will be helpful in the city as it offers a smooth drive, not overwhelming you at any point. However, the lack of power and punch is evident. The engine is slow to rev and even at higher revs, doesn't feel sporty. This becomes more prominent on the highways. You will have to downshift a couple of gears to make a quick overtake or to hit a gap in traffic. Moreover, there's no official update from the brand's end on the acceleration figures. Stay tuned.

- We would suggest you to opt for Tata Altroz XZ Turbo. The 1.2 naturally aspirated engine was decent in the city but out on the highway, it lacked punch and the enthusiast in us. The Altroz is powered by a 1.2 litre turbo petrol motor which gives it a capacity advantage over the competition that uses smaller 1.0 units. The Altroz gets the engine it always deserved. - It would be unfair to give a verdict here as issues may occur in any vehicle. Tata Altroz would be a good pick if you are looking for a premium hatchback with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. The engine refinement, however, remains to be the major chink in the armour. If you timely service your vehicle and take proper care then you would not face any issues. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.

- Tata Altroz is offered with two engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol is the naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine from the Tigor. Just glide, the engine seems to suggest. It does so too; at speeds as low as 30kmph you can hold onto 4th gear without a hiccup. It will pull forward when asked in one steady and unhurried manner. However, the grouse isn't with its performance, its with the lack of refinement. The engine is clattery and loud, like a diesel, and the rumble persists even on a light throttle. While driving uphill with full load, you may have to work the gearbox more often but the engine doesn't lack power. Thankfully, the 1.5-litre diesel feels a lot more enjoyable to drive. It is easy to drive at low speeds too thanks to the ultra-light clutch action. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive for a better understanding of performance. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Tata offers the Altroz with two engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol engine develops 86PS/113Nm while the diesel puts out 90PS/200Nm. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The motor will produce 110PS and 140Nm as per the RTO document. Stay tuned for more.

- All these cars are good enough and have their own forte. While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. The engine refinement remains to be the major chink in the armour. If we talk about Tata Tiago, it has one of the most attractive designs at its price point. Great build quality and the 4-stars in Global NCAP speaks highly about safety. It offers good feature list at its price too. If you are looking for a hatch that ticks a lot of boxes, the Baleno is a great option. There's plenty of features, efficient engine options and more space than a number of more expensive sedans. However, its build quality could have been better. The Nissan Magnite has a lot of potential as a family car. It’s spacious, practical, well loaded and considering its aggressive pricing, will be a strong alternative to the low-mid range variants of its popular competitors. You may compare all these cars accordingly.
- Both the variant of Tata Altroz offer same ground clearance (unladen) of 165mm. Though the top-spec variant of Tata Altroz features 16-inch wheels, the tyre height aspect ratio is 55 while that of the base variant is 80.
- So theres no real advantage of having 16' tyres?
- I don't want sleep. I want answers.

- Tata Altroz offers supple ride quality and great balance between handling and comfort. The Altroz is powered by BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The petrol engine is clattery and loud, like a diesel, and the rumble persists even on a light throttle. The sloppy gearshifts detract from the experience further. Thankfully, the gearshifts are much smoother on the diesel. We noted that even at 80kph the Altroz zooms ahead with just a tap of the accelerator. However, when making overtakes, revving engine past 4000rpm felt wasteful as it got loud and a bit rumbly. It is easy to drive at low speeds too thanks to the ultra-light clutch action. - While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. If you are looking for a car with good road presence, supple ride and great balance between handling and comfort, a spacious cabin and a decent feature list. Then the Tata Altroz would be a good option. On the other hand, the Tiago would be a better pick if you are looking for a compact hatchback with peppy engine, attractive styling and great build quality. Furthermore, Tata is also offering factory-fitted accessory packages -- a first for this segment -- which allows buyers to get more features without going up an entire variant. As the entry-level variant of the Altroz, the XE doesn’t offer much in terms of comfort. But if you’re stretching your budget for a premium hatchback instead of a mid-spec mid-size hatchback, it is worth considering. Also, you may opt for the Rhythm Pack which would add an infotainment system to the XE variant with a 3.5-inch display, 2 speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - Would you get Altroz for on-road price of 5-6 lakhs as asked in the question? I don't think so. Do read the question in entirelty before answering.
- Tata’s Altroz has the potential to fly to the top of the segment. Head-turning design that also delivers family friendly cabin space is impressive. Quality improvements in terms of materials and finish, the better infotainment experience, and the long and healthy equipment list make this a very tempting Tata. Its planted attitude make it even more versatile and enjoyable. However, the lack of refinement in the petrol and the absence of automatic transmission options are disappointing. Still, it fits right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Click on the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Go for Tata Nexon base variant which will cost you somewhere around 8.7lk on road. The best one. Altroz does not have the riding comfort what I feel after I took both of them for test drive and also Nexon is far better option for off roading.
- Selecting the right fuel type depends on your utility and average running of the car. If you drive less then 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially then the diesel car. On the other hand, diesel cars are preferred if the average daily run is more than 50km which makes it feasible purchase. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - The Tata Altroz fits right into the mix of the premium hatchbacks. But because it does not deliver a step-up or wow experience over its rivals, it fails to set a new standard in the segment. Tata had a clean slate and a lot of benchmarks to achieve that, but did not manage to do so. And then there are the engines. The diesel does feel like a versatile unit and delivers a good drive on both highways and in the city. But the lack of punch and refinement from the petrol limits it use to mostly in the city. Also, both the transmission and shift quality should have been better. But, what impressed us is the long feature list is the practicality of the cabin with loads of storage and a good fit and finish. The balance of the Alpha Apc platform too raises the bar on comfort and handling in the segment. And finally, the looks, which definitely set a new standard in the segment. The all-important question now to deliver a clear verdict is the price. If Tata manages to undercut rivals Baleno and Elite i20, the Altroz could be a strong contender in the market. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Tata Altroz offers an generous amount of room in the cabin and seating three at rear would not be an issue. The wide cabin promises class-leading shoulder room and along with the nearly flat floor accommodating a third passenger in comfort will be no issue. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.
- The claimed ARAI mileage of Altroz Petrol Manual is 19.05 Kmpl and for the Altroz Diesel Manual is 21.11 Kmpl. Moreover, the mileage depends on certain factors such as driving conditions, timely maintenance, tyre pressure management, etc. In order to get better fuel efficiency returns, there are some points that you can keep in mind while driving such as keeping a check on tyre air pressure, timely service your car, maintain proper gear to RPM ratio, do not accelerate the car unnecessarily, drive your car at economical speeds, etc. For more details, you may check out the following article: Driving tips to improve mileage
- Simple steps which worked for me.. 1. Do not take engine rpm more than 2000. Change gear as soon as it nears 2000.2. Try to drive between 60-70 kmph in 5th gear. Don't cross 80 in any case.I am getting 17 kmpl in city and 20 kmpl in eco mode..

- A step below the top-spec variant, the Altroz XT offers a lot for its premium over the XM variant. It adds features like cruise control, LED DRLs, a cooled glove box and a reverse parking camera. However, a glaring drawback is the absence of a height-adjustable driver’s seat, even at this price point. on the other hand, in terms of features and comforts, the XZ is the top-spec variant with all the bells and whistles. It is the complete package and the one we’d recommend if your budget allows it. The addition of rear AC vents makes it a better all-rounder to make it more comfortable for rear occupants as well. However, selecting of fuel type would depend on your car usage. Apart from it, if you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day.

- You may opt for the Tata Altroz for a daily commute as the supple ride quality and the great balance between handling and comfort makes it a great city slicker. While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. Moreover, since your daily running with the car is on the higher side, we'd suggest you to opt for the diesel variant. The diesel cars are more fuel efficient and provide more torque, therefore, are preferred for a person who drives more than 50km. Also, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. - Tata Altroz offers a generous aomunt of headroom, however, the slinky stance seems to have compromised underthigh support in order to have that. Despite the narrowing window line, you don’t feel claustrophobic here as the windows stretch rearwards a fair bit. - If you are looking for a hatch that ticks a lot of boxes, the Baleno is a great option. There's good feature list, efficient engine options and more space than a number of more expensive sedans. While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks, a comfortable ride and safety. The engine refinement remains to be the major chink in the armour. Hyundai’s i20 is offering a striking design, premium quality interiors and a wide range of engine-gearbox options. Features continue to be a strong point for the hatchback. Plus, with the update we see the i20 becoming a better family car, with more space and practicality. The new Hyundai i20 doesn’t just offer loads of new tech, it also works better as a family car than before, albiet for a bit of a price increase. You may compare all these cars accordingly. Do take a test ride in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Both the hatchbacks are worthy competitors in their own rights. If you want a premium experience you don’t mind digging into your pockets for, then the i20 is suitable for you. However, if you want the premium life but at a comparatively lesser price range, the Altroz has your back. But still I would suggest to go for i20 as on long drive it won't make you feel tired especially because of butter smooth steering also in traffic

- Yeah buddy. Go for it. And have a fun with it
- Yes.
- Two, at the front.

- Less pickup is very common with new engine, once the running-in period is crossed performance will be better. I have seen good improvement after first service by which time the vehicle had run close to 1000 kms. The petrol variant has a naturally aspirated engine, so some revving will be required to overcome shortage of torque at lower gears. A bit of extra throttle will put back smile in your face.Turbo engines don't have this low end torque issue.

- 13-14 in City and 18-19 on highways
- The natural aspirated engine of the TATA Altroz is weak, though it is offered with a turbo petrol engine as well. The turbo engine has a decent amount of power but it still lags that punch which other turbo powered cars offer in this segment. The build quality is nice and sturdy but the finishing of the product is not good, there are uneven large panel gaps and in the interior the parts squeak when you twist them.
- Overall performance is nice. when you drive it on city mode.and built quality it's 5 star 🌟 rated car in uro NCAP.
- 8 rated of 10
- Altroz
- Altroz
- Go for altroz if you think about mileage because Nexon will not give you mileage
- Well altroz have good mileage
- But nexon is rocket torque
- I have XM+ so I will recommend itfeatures :-Central locking4 power windowsHarman Music system with 2 speakersparking assistmultifunction steering 16 inch Tyres with wheel coverscomes with 2 modes ECO & CITY modeandroid auto & Apple Carplay Auto adjustable mirrorsOn road price of XM+ is 7.42 lakhs in indoreit's value for money and very practical
- Dost I want also purchase XM+ , but 1 doubt, please clear. Does xm+ touch screen support reverse camera.Mujhe reverse camera install karwana h..kya xm+ me install ho jayega bina touch screen badle.
- XT is best to go buy if budget issue you need to take xm. The features which are not available in xm are cruise, push start button. Rest all same
- Altroz is better.
- Definitely ALTROZ...
- Altroz
- Yes, Starting from Aug 1st 2021, Wearable key is provided along with XZ Petrol model , also they removed Leather Steering cover and Analogue RPM from digital RPM..... Also consumer discount of Rs.15000 is provided for customers.

- I also got same mileage when the car was new. After 1000km and first service, I am getting mileage of 16. Eco mode with cruise control, I am getting mileage of 20 on highway. For city, I always use city mode.
- You just ride as much Kms as possible. When engine is set you will be definitely getting 15+ mileage. Mine at 3000 Kms giving 16.2 Avg. After 3rd service expecticting the mileage of 2 to 3 Kms.
- All about munching in the kilometres. During my first 1000 Km, the maximum mileage I got was merely 12-13. Now having driven my altroz for over 3000 Kms , i easily get 22-23 on highway and 17-19 in city. Keep your revs below 2000 rpm for the best figures
- Is it correct,? Xt comes with ambience light on dash board?
- No
- No no
- I think they will launch it next year.
- Ys this divaly
- It's going to launch this year along with TATA ALTOZ EV.
- Tiago XZA seems a better choice- plus points- higher ground clearance, wider tyres (compared to Altroz XE Rythm), steering mounted infotainment controls, better mileage. etc.Minus points- lower safety rating, smaller dimensions(also a plus point), more vibration.
- Go for Altroz if the price difference is not that much. You can add features to the aftermarket. Everything is available in the aftermarket.
- Altroz will be better option. I own xza. I will suggest a step up. Basics are same. You can add features of your taste later.
- The car is not yet available in CSD canteen. If you are in any of the Defence field in India than only you should ask this question. CSD canteen is not for Civilians this is for Defence people and forces. Please Don't miss use this. If you are a Civilian than purchase your car from the market showroom. CSD canteen is for the facilities of Indian Forces don't miss use it for little amount of discount money.

- Obviously Tata Altroz is better in this segment, Altroz offer better features in less price and better comfort, best build quality, safest car 5 star rated at Global NCAP. Tata Altroz is the best value for money and best in segment
- Altroz
- 1.2L 1200cc is the cubic capacity of Tata Altroz petrol and Diesel both. 37-38 L is the fuel tank capacity.
- The engine is not underpowered. Its very good engine and power is also very good and yes its better than Aspire. Both cars are of different segments but Tata Altroz is better than Ford Aspire.
- No, its not underpowered. Its a naturally aspirated engine, you will find shortage of torque in lower gears. Extra throttle will be required to overcome the same.
- No it’s not under power. Because of it’s linear delivery. That’s why you feel that.
- Tata Altroz is a BS6 engine norms car and it comes with petrol and diesel fuel type engine. Most probably you should use BS-6 Fuel in the car as much as possible.
- We have both petrol and diesel
- Petrol and diesel
- The price of style pack and RHYTHM pack is around ₹25000/- to ₹35000/- and you can get these on discount price also depends on the seller.
- Yes it has dual tone body in all variants.
- Nope
- Tata Altroz has been launched in the market on January 22nd and is available in Tata Showroom
- No its much bigger than Tata Tiago. Tata Altroz is a premium Hatchback car in sub 4 metre cars.
- Definitely Tata Altroz is best. This is best in the segment. Much better than any other car in this segment in terms of performance, features, stylish, comfort, safety, and everything.
- Altroz is better.
- Anytime Tata ALTROZ

- Good
- Oh yes
- Okay Lets Compare 1. Price: Nios is a bit cheaper than Altroz and offers all the features which Altroz does Be it Touchscreen infotainment system, Digital cluster and many things.2. Engine: Both offers almost same power but Nios Kappa Engine is more refined. 3. Style: No need to say anything on this Altroz is much better than Nios is nterms of style be it interior or exterior, slight edge for Nios is that in mid variants hyundai offers Alloy wheels.4. Milage: Comparable, Almost similar. 5. Maintenance: Tata service has been questioned a lot, nO doubt they are improving, still Hyundai has more service center which gives you a choice or options.6. Comfort: My personal experience is that Altroz wins in drive comfort and Nios is seating comfort. Still Altroz wins here.7. Safety: Undoubtedly Altroz is more safe than Nios. Is you feels the same its 3:3 for both the product. Now its on you which side you fall.If you have a budget of Altroz please buy else Nios is a great package too.
- Where are you deepak, gone are the days of tata indica, the refinement /noise issue is very minimal as they are fine tuning the engine from tiago, tigor to altroz , for the sake of little noise refinement levels, don't compromise on build quality, zst you see the kerb weights or strength of material used in tata tigor tiago nexon altroz with same segment rival cars, moreover they introused balancer shafts in these 3 cylinder engines to even more nullify the issues.. i20 got only 3 star crash test result, grandi10 cant score more than 2 star if it goes to global ncap crash tests, altorz comes with corner stability control, it has stiffer suspension than i10/i20 which makes the ride more comfortable.. correct me if iam wrong in any point..
- New Hyundai i10 grand nios is best in segment because, it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. Grand i10 nios is better than Tata Altzos because it has more refined 4 cylinder engine while Altzos has 3 cylinder noisy engine. Fit and finished is excellent in the new Grand i10 nios. Value for money package.
- Go for it now the car is amazing take a test drive I am sure you are gonna love it.
- Tiago is a hatchback car and Altroz is premium hatchback in sub 4 metres cars Altroz is having more space more features than Tata Tiago. Engine is same in both cars but Tatq altroz feel much more premium and stylish. Altroz is made on ALFA platform which means Agile Light weight Flexible and Advanced.
- Tiago is entry level segment car and Altroz is a premium hach back car.
- It is already in the market.
- First quarter of 2021 Tata Altroz turbo petrol and 7 speed DCT will be launched
- No, not yet but the Automatic transmission variant will be launched very soon.
- No .. it is comes in only manual transmission.
- There are 2 airbags im this car and its been rated 5 stars in global NCAP safety norm which make its the safest car in segment. The weight of this car is around 1050 KGs
- Engine of Tata Altroz petrol is not noisy and the little bit noise is very much reduced after its first service. And this car is Durable and reliable too. And is better than every other car in this segment. Please visit your nearby showroom and take a test drive you will definitely love this car.
- The car is durable.. no dought. not too much engine noise in the cabin. you will not have any problem with it.. but family is important. and you r family will be safe in this car not any other car..
- That’s fake. It’s not that noisy where you can’t ignore. There is lite 15% noise I can gauage.and coming to durability it is 5 start rating.
- Its on your requirement if you want the car now than you can go with the petrol engine its really very good and there is no news regarding the turbo engine so it might take time. I would suggest you to try the new Tata Nexon XM variant.
- Turbo petrol seems to be like the best variant, should drive like the diesel variant. Wait for the turbo if you want the best variant. Try the diesel and petrol variants to see if they are sufficient for your requirements.
- Definitely the i20 is up-priced than the altroz so it will offer more features. The altroz is a value for money. The altroz is the best choice for indian conditions. I don't know why people hihglight about its 3 cylinders when the NVH is not that much which will really annoy you or decrease your driving pleasure and comfort. The altroz offers some best in class features. Every car has advantages and disadvantages, no car is perfect. At the end of the day its SAFETY which decides everything, and altroz is the safest hatchback in the Indian market.
- Altroz will not stop production until the new i20 is released. So rather wait and test drive both. Everyone gives their own opinion, end of the day it's your money. Do what your heart says. All premium hatchback more or less have same performance. I have driven elite i20, altroz and baleno. Altroz has a better corner handling. I20 is a cool car. You have 1 litre turbo coming in i20. You have the money go for it.
- No issue in waiting. but TATA is already proved their 5 STAR safety RATINGS whereas i 20 yet to prove. If safety is not your priority, then wait. If safety is top priority then Book Altroz imm as waiting period is almost 2 months... Go for safety for car as well as your FAMILY.... Cheers !!

- Yes the 3 cylinder engine in Tata Altroz is smooth and performance is really good even better than other cars in segment.
- Yes, vibrations are fully controlled. From inside the car, noise is also very little.
